I defaulted the loan but later paid it as Kshs.1632.
I have been begging these guys to remove me from CRB but they claim that I should send them extra Kshs. 1000 to them to facilitate CRB clearance.
The proposal by Belgut Member of Parliament (MP) Nelson Koech to have the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) law repealed is a welcome move for many Kenyan youths.
Banks and loan sharks have found an easy way to make quick money to the detriment of economic growth for Kenyans especially the youth.
People are being listed for as low as Kshs. 100. Surely, is this even humane?

RE: PROPOSAL TO REPEAL THE CREDIT REFERENCE BUREAU REGULATIONS 2013
Concerned that listing by lending institutions through the CRB is stifling growth especially among the youth, I propose to have the enabling provisions for the CRB listing repealed.
Lending institutions should resort to the conventional means of recovering their debts without sharing information of borrowers to non-parties.
The practice of sharing borrowers’ information with listing claims of as low as Kshs.100 has denied growth to enterprising youth. In that regard I seek the repeal of the Credit Bureau Regulations, 2013 which were drafted in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 31(3) and (4) and 55(1) of the Banking Act anci sections 34(4) and 5 and 48 (2) of the Microfinance Act 2006
Your assistance to repeal the same shall be appreciated.

Who is John Ngumi?
John Ngumi is the current chairman of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) chairman since July 2015. Before that Mr. Ngumi founded of one of East Africa’s first independent investment banking groups, Loita Capital Partners. Mr. Ngumi served as Investment Banking Director E A of CFC Stanbic Bank Limited (Standard Bank Kenya). Prior to joining Standard Bank, he worked in various capacities at Citibank, Barclays, Citibank, Grindlays and National Westminster Bank. He served as Chairman of Konza Technopolis Development Authority until July 17, 2015. He serves as a Director of the Investment Banking Coverage Division for East Africa at Standard Bank Africa. He has been a Non Executive Director of ARM Cement Limited since August 25, 2016. He holds Bachelor of Arts (1st Class Honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics) from St. Peter’s College, University of Oxford, UK.
In January, 2019, Renewable energy developer DREAM EP Global Energy Kenya Limited appointed Mr. Ngumi as its chairman.
Despite this colorful names and appointments, Mr. Ngumi is one of the most corrupt Kenyans that does the bidding for the Kenyatta family.

Attempt to Steal Kshs. 11 Billion
In 2017: Mr. Ngumi wanted to steal Kshs. 11 billion in which the President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President WIlliam Ruto were among the beneficiaries.
Parliament, through the Senate’s Public Investments Committee stopped this plan in its track before it was too late.
Mr. Ngumi and the then Managing Director Joe Sang wanted to steal the money using a company called Zakhem International.
Zakhem International were building a new pipeline from Mombasa to Nairobi and Ngumi and Joe connived with officials from the company to inflate the costs midway, to enable the two thieves make away with taxpayers money.
An anonymous letter sent to the chief editor of this site stated that Kshs, 1 billion had been stolen from KPC. At the centre of the scandal stood non other than KPC Chairman John Ngumi.
The company that was used this time is known as Aero Dispensers Limited and Thermo Dynamic General Supplies.
Aero Dispensers Limited, which makes no tax returns at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) received payments in batches amounting to billions of shillings.
The two companies named above are ghosts and they made away with huge amounts of taxpayers money.
When the heat is too much, you bribe the one who is supposed to arrest and investigate you.
The the Chairman of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Halakhe Waqo was paid off millions of shillings to ignore a letter detailing how Kenya Pipeline Company Directors plus senior staff have been conspiring to Loot Billions from the State Owned Corporation

Irate investors who have been scammed by the crooked couple Pete and Sue Muraya have taken to social media to air their woes.
They’ve used all the tools available to them to make known the scam that has been Suraya Property Group.
From opening WhatsApp groups, to a Twitter account, to a Facebook page, the conned investors are angry and baying for blood.
Some of them have already recorded statement at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over the matter.
They are calling for the arrest of the owners of the firm.
What went wrong?
Suraya Property Group took billions of cash from potential investors promising them apartments.
But now, some have waited for more than the agreed time and are yet to see any tangible construction or even a house to move into.
Photos of incomplete building litter the internet under various hashtag that call to the fact that Suraya Property Group has failed.
Recently, the firm tried to save face by stating in a local daily that they have secured refinancing to a tune of Kshs. 1.6 billion from four local banks in order to enable it complete Stalled projects.

That is if ever the crooked couple even received the cash.

Suraya is peddling a press release to the media houses about an alleged 1.6bn funding to complete stalled projects. Meanwhile another one of their properties was just advertised to be on auction this morning. Lynx Royal on Ngong Road, that was fully subscribed and millions collected from investors, is in auction. Do not be fooled by this press release.
The truth is, Suraya has collected billions in customer deposits since 2012. They have charged every property advertised to investors and owe billions more to banks in loans.
Lynx Royal is the 2nd Suraya property to face auctioneers in less than 3 months. Tiara Chalbi Drive has also been on auction.
In both these properties, investors are out millions and are watching as their property is auctioned for a loan they didn’t take.
The 1.6bn in financing Suraya is claiming to have received is a drop in the ocean when you consider the billions they owe to investors, the banks and service providers and contractors.
Add to that the fact that the pipeline of troubled Suraya projects is about 10-12; and it quickly emerges that this is just cleansing effort by Suraya.

Suraya will market you a glossy looking property on a brochure and give you a spectacular discount if you buy off-plan. Fantastic offer!
Suraya will force you to use their lawyers as your own and you won’t be allowed to bring your own representation. You will never see your sectional title deed, meaning you can’t sell or transfer.
Once you make the the first payment and you are now in the bag, it’s Hotel California all the way. Once you go in you can’t come out. Severe penalties for pulling out or making late payments.
Stones and construction material will be dumped on site to make you think they have started construction. If very lucky building will get to 80% construction. Forget about the gyms, pool,boreholes, generator, playground that were in the brochures. Just forget it.
The construction itself will be 3rd or even 4th grade, pipes will continuously leak of sewage. All shortcuts possible in construction will be taken. Several contractors will be employed and fired along the way.
Meanwhile if you dare call or visit their offices with any issue (unless making payment) you will be treated like the villain that you are! Unanswered calls, rude emails and broken promises all through. It’s like a bad bad marriage.
If you do happen to eventually get tenants in your premises, prepare to charge far less than the market value, pay for so many repairs and never break even. You will receive complaints from the tenants day and night.
The service charge they said they would pay for you for 10 years which you paid for in the purchase price? Forget about that. You will soon end up paying for the security firm, garbage collection, cleaning services etc just to keep it humanly habitable.

University student arrested at State House for trespass
Brian Kibet Bera, a 25-year-old Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student was yesterday arrested at State House, Nairobi, for trespass.
The student, who climbed over one of the State House gates, was shot and wounded on the left shoulder by officers manning the gate after he drew a knife when he was challenged to stop.
The incident occurred at 4.05 pm and the suspect was booked at Kileleshwa Police Station vide Ob No. 39 before he was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. Investigations are ongoing to establish the motive of the trespass and appropriate action will be taken upon conclusion.
We take this opportunity to remind the public that State House is a designated protected area under the Protected Areas Act. For that reason no person is allowed access to the premise without the permission of the prescribed authority.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned residents of the Kenyan coastline of strong winds of over 25 knots and high tides of 2.5 metres in Indian Ocean.
They have further advised against use of trawlers, fishing boats and kayaks.

The footage shows Assange, who has visibly lost weight, conversing with what could be his fellow inmates.
The camera then shows a small shabby cell, with books and papers strewn around the floor. While RT can’t independently verify if it was Assange’s own cell, the journalist and publisher is seen walking in the room at the beginning of the video.
The gloomy video comes a day after a conservative US news outlet the Gateway Pundit published pictures of Assange in prison. The photos are said to have been provided to them by an inmate. Writing for the outlet, journalist Cassandra Fairbanks said they opted not to share images of his cell due to privacy concerns.
Assange’s health deteriorated rapidly at the end of May, and he is said to have been moved to the hospital wing of the Belmarsh prison.
His fate is in limbo while the UK reviews extradition requests from the US and Sweden. In the US, Assange now faces 18 charges, totaling a maximum sentence of 175 years in prison. Those are based on his work with whistleblower Chelsea Manning, who leaked the infamous “Collateral murder” video, exposing American war crimes in Iraq via the whistleblowing website.
In Sweden, prosecutors reopened a case based on allegations of non-consensual sex after Assange was stripped of Ecuadorian asylum and dragged out of its London embassy on April 11. Earlier this week, a Swedish court rejected a request to detain Assange in absentia. The WikiLeaks co-founder and his team maintain that the end goal of the Swedish case is extradition to the US.

There is this project sponsored by the World bank, known as Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities (KYEOP), where youths are trained through National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) while others who applied for Business Grants are to be given the Kshs. 40k grant in two installments.
Now imagine the applications are done in cycle, 1, 2 and 3 in various selected counties.
However, my concern is that the grants beneficiaries haven’t received any cent right from cycle one, maybe few lucky ones.
Now the KYEOP and MSEA (a component in the program) are advertising for cycle 4 applications yet even the grants for cycle 2 have not been paid.
These people are conning us youths by withholding funds meant for our empowerment.
Every time they say be patient, we will pay by end of April, May, now we are in June.
Nothing has been paid..
May you kindly highlight this issue, someone is getting rich on youths funds.

Although there has been several meetings of the said program, interesting to note that the technical committee comprising of 13 members has met 11 times where each and every member draw an allowance of 5000 per sitting.
The said program will be relaunched again on the 19th day of this month.
The event has been hyped and university comrades are being procured to come and deceive the residents how they have benefitted from the said Ajira program from Nyandarua.

Apartheid ended in south Africa but its vestiges still runs deep in that country.
In Kenya, we have our form of apartheid but it was not hyped much like the south African or the United States (US) one.
This is often discussed in low tonea, how Africans, Indians and Europeans used to live in this godforsaken piece of land whose only claim to independence is a flag and a national anthem. Nothing much to show. Not even love.
We have tribalism but that is something that might fall flight in the face of the new generation of young Kenyans in 10years or so. I believe.
The one discrimination that we should be wary off, is economic marginalisation and oppression that makes the unfortunately poor among us not enjoy the basic things like walking to work.
Why would a whole mall, built on stolen public funds refuse pedestrians the right to use its sidewalks?
Am talking about Yaya Centre.
For those who don’t know, Yaya Centre was build by former Powerful Cabinet Minister and Murderer Nicholas Biwott a.k.a Total Man.
Biwott and former president Daniel Moi, may they not rest in peace, looted public money and built business with those monies.
Why most of the youths can’t get jobs, is because these two having looted joined the Kenyattas in making sure that no one else, (majority of Kenyans) should not make it to the top, that we should live poor all the days of our lives.
Which is appalling.
Countries are not run like that. (i.e. You can’t steal from public coffers and build businesses, theres a place where you are still hurting the majority)

Kenyan investors in Land must be shaken to the core!
What with the recent numbers being churned out by knowledgeable sources, alluding to the downturn of the entire real estate sector, with key indices like consumption of cement down almost 25% between 2016 – 2018.
Banks also seem to have recorded a slump in personal loans whilst auctioneers were recently hosted to a cocktail by NMG CEO Stephen Gitagama (arguably the most colorless CEO NMG has had in decades) to underscore the shift in economic fortunes in the country.

Its a complete feeding frenzy by auctioneers, with economic situation in their favor, funded on one-hand corrupt money and on the other hand, its sibling – poor economics. It is not rare these days to see 8 full pages of auction property in the daily Nation.
Worse have been the very public meltdowns of previously high-flying and visible SACCOs, housing cooperatives and home ownership schemes.
The most recent outright con game was the collapse of Ekeza Saccos and scheme which is associated with failed politician Kariuki Ngare, better known as “Dr. Bishop Gakuyo”…

Government auditors had discovered that Gakuyo had siphoned off in excess of Ksh, 1 Billion of members contributions and called for criminal investigations against him. The matter continues to offer Kenyans a front row seat into the lameness of the Kenyan Judicial system.
On a better note for prospective home owners who had sunk their life savings into Suraya Property Group, the Business Daily reports that the firm has now acquired Ksh. 1.6 Billion with which to complete stalled projects.

The Group states that its woes were occasioned by the liquidity crisis that hit the country once MPigs passed the misguided Interest rate caps.
Suraya Group (linked to the couple Sue and Peter Muraya) learnt first-hand how dangerous it is to engage with family owned entities, especially 2nd generation degenerates who fight each other in court and out of it, over these properties.
Suraya Group investment into the mega Fourways Junction real estate project off Kiambu Road almost ground to halt when original owner of the land in question Dr. Samuel Gatabaki and his wife Nancy Wanja Gatabaki were embroiled in a bitter dispute over the land, long after transfers had been done and construction began.

Nancy was only placated when she was offered Ksh. 725 million in an out of court settlement.

More recently was the open spat between the siblings in the Muigai family over the division of land on Kenyatta Road (on the way to Gatundu). A portion of the land in question had been sold off to Banda Homes Ltd who had sub-divided the piece and started to sell with intention of luring buyers.
Kenyatta cousin Kathleen Kihanya who ran to Githeri media claiming fraud in a deal where Banda homes had set up a home ownership scheme.
A member of the family and cousin to Uhuru Kenyatta, Kathleen Kihanya ran to the media with alarming news that the investors were being conned by her other family members, and causing complete panic.
The story appeared in the so-called credible media of the Daily Nation and Business Daily.
Kathleen Kihanya, keeps popping up on our radar with links to some of this kleptocracys’ scandals alongside Uhurus sister. She once headed the UK Centre near Parliament which was supposed to spearhead Uhurus 2002 election flop.
For the avoidance of doubt, the entire extended Kenyatta family is totally fucked-up and the members of this particular family are notorious drunks, associated with “The Hood” restaurant in Hurlingham.

There is a consistent thread here especially about those who illegally acquired coffee farms from Mzee Kenyatta in the 60s and 70s and whose 2nd and 3rd generations seem to be mired in endless controversy.
How terrifying it must therefore be for the investors of Urithi Housing and Cooperative society to hear once more that 2 of their projects are up for auction by banks.
For most of these innocents, the Urithi Housing projects were their only hope of owning decent housing for themselves and families.

No single person should go through this type of agony, for whatever reason.
Media too needs to remember that some of the unsubstantiated claims made by them to the public, sometimes cause health conditions to be exacerbated, panic causes unrest in homes and a whole lot of unnecessary drama.
Ordinary Kenyans, many of them readers of this website and totally panicked have turned to us for solace and hoping that we will seek answers on their behalf.
They are interested in the completion of their projects…
One of the most terrifying things about “Githeri Media” reporting about Urithi is the constant association of the Sacco with the disgraced founder of Ekeza Sacco, the Bishop Dr. Gakuyo.
Why would media consistently highlight this conman as having been associated with Urithi, especially now that his own Ekeza Sacco went bust?
Secondly, Urithi business model is very simple! It identifies land and negotiates for it then proposes a housing project to its members.
The members then choose which project they wish to invest in, fund the project and eventually take it over.
This has successfully happened with over 180 projects all over the country.
The current Chairman keeps explaining to “Githeri Media” that the current impasse is that the project in Gatanga has been caused by the members, who have refused to complete payment, demanding title deeds for the part payments made, while the owner is demanding the balance of monies before any more development can proceed.
Where banks were involved to finance the acquisition, the delays have occasioned for negotiations to restructure the loans.
The100-acre Panorama Gardens was acquired in 2016 and is situated on the Thika – Gatanga Road, a few minutes’ drive from the famous Blue Posts Hotel.
Over and above the outright buyout of this land, Urithi also accepted to clear an outstanding loan (Principal + Interest) owed by the family of the seller to a bank.
When members delayed their contributions for this project, the bank attempted to call in their loan while the fully paid up members are demanding their title deeds…
Talk about a catch-22 situation!
The other project being touted as being in distress is one behind Mangu High School or Thika Power Plant.
Similarly, and probably due to the dwindling fortunes of members who subscribed to this project, a certain percentage have yet to clear substantial balances.

The fortunes of members seem to be linked with the gross mismanagement of the economy and supervised looting by the Uhuruto kleptocracy that has seen systematic impoverishment of previously well-to-do Kenyans, most of whom work in the informal sector.
Githeri Media is basking in the misery of of its own citizens, powered and underwritten (obviously) by the tainted money from the auctioneers, who seem to have surpassed betting companies as the major buyers of media (especially print) in these dark days of the Kenyan economy.
Based on the information at our disposal and from analysing the trends, we notice that the Urithi imaginary woes are exclusive to the Nation (Githeri) Media Group, in their 2 papers – Daily Nation and Business Daily. These are the people who happily hob-nob with auctioneers as their readers’ financial fortunes dwindle, because the NMG lacked the courage and character to stand up to the mismanagement of the economy.
NMG, were only interested in Government advertisement, and fuck everything else.
Currently, Antique Auctioneers seem to be circling the Urithi property like a scavenger, and pushing the negative reporting in the NMG to bolster a case for a premature takeover of the property.

It would be instructive to note that Antique auctioneers is owned by John S Lee, the same owner of Lee Funeral Homes…and a poetic similarity to the morbidity of the soul – Death and Auctions.
But we all know where the real blame squarely lies, don’t we?
We can only ask, as did Henry II of England of Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Beckett in 1170.

The country of the Queen has appointed Jane Marriot as the new British High Commissioner to Kenya; to take over from Nic Hailey from September 2019.
Other countries outside the commonwealth uses the word ambassador instead of High Commissioner.
The appointment of Jane Marriot, a former UK Joint International Counter-Terrorism Unit, signals Britain’s agenda for the region, among other things fight against terrorism in the horn of Africa.
The outgoing British high commissioner Nic Hailey performed dismally considering how previous holders of the office performed.
After the departure of the no nonsense High Commissioner Sir Edward Clay, who is a ‘persona non grata’ in Kenya, after calling out the Kibaki regime corrupt ways, Britain has ensured that any appointment after Clay is a lame duck lacklustre person who doesn’t tell the Kenyan regime the truth of the matter.
Since Sir Edward Clay left, and after being told not to ever set foot in Kenya, even for a Masai Mara trip, as most of this western envoys like to do after retirement anyways, the other High Commissioner’s have been ;less exciting in terms of condemning corruption, asking for good governance and asking tough questions.

These High commissioner’s have really ‘looked the other way’, when Kenyans needed them the most.
Take for example Adam Wood, he presided at a time when the country descended into chaos in the 20017/08 Post Election Violence.
If the other three, Robert Macaire, Peter Tibber and Christian Turner had truly remained to the course of the Department for International Development (DFID) for Deepening Democracy In Kenya programme (DDP) and aligned, then maybe we wouldn’t have had the problems of the 2017 General elections, where the gains made since 2007/08 were rolled back even past 1992 elections reforms.
Nic Hailey is the most ‘don’t care’, he took office at the perfect time, but also did little.
It is not that we can’t govern ourselves, but the western countries i.e. United Kingdom (UK) and the United States (US) hold a very big influence on our political and economic spheres.
The UK is a major source of Kenya’s foreign direct investments(FDI), contributing around 40% of Kenya’s total FDI inward flows annually; whereas the US foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kenya (stock) was $405 million in 2017, a 7.5% decrease from 2016.
It is for this reason that I write this article as a complaining young man in Kenya.
Our governance has gone to the dogs, while this same so-called development partners are here, practising the art of silence.
As for the new envoy, Jane Marriot, I want to tell her this; a better managed country where the economy is growing doesn’t cause much problems for the UK and US.
Please don’t come here and start taking selfies with corrupt government officials like your US counterpart Mr. Kyle McCarter has done and continues to do.
Don’t become a #SlayqueenAmbassador, but instead engage Civil Society Groups and Youth groups in making the world safer for UK.
We didn’t elect you to give us jobs but calling out the government for neglecting youths, for engaging in runaway corruption and plunder will go along way in making Kenya better.

This is happening somewhere in Nakuru county Olmanyatta location.
The area chief, John Kipkurui Koskei, is just a bully, he faked minutes and attendance list and took them to Chairman (Kosiom ole Kibelekenye) of the National Lands Commission (NLC) in Nakuru.
Luckily, we people of the said sub location got wind of this.
We wrote a letter to caution the lands offices from carrying out any demarcation on the non-arable land including the riparian land.
This was in April, 2018.
The Nakuru NLC chairman came to around to access the area but left with a promise of coming back to evict some people who have grabbed public land.
Some of the Chief’s relatives and friend’s have grabbed a plot meant for a dam.
As I write this, the Chief is bragging around that his goons won. He usually uses police officers to intimidate locals; he has even misled the area Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) that he owns the riparian land which is surrounded by some minerals (murram).
The DCC have been partisan in and taken advantage of his office to endorse some letters to help his chief and few individuals eyeing the riparian land rich in murram minerals.
This land belongs to the community since 1987.
In short, we are tired of this nepotistic Chief. He employs his relatives, mostly children to handle government services.
Recently, during the Huduma Namba (number) registration, the chief employed his own kids as registration agents.
We also know that the census is coming, and he will be employing his own. To make the matters worse, he is bragging that the government has added him extra years to serve.
He was supposed to retire long time ago.
I will appreciate sir and if you can get a good journalist connect them with me, so that we go to the ground and follow up this issue.
We need urgent intervention because the chief is working hard to get title deed of the riparian land.

Surprisingly, the selection panel chaired by Eng. Joseph Guyo made many blunders in the selection process, for example, they shortlisted and recommended serving public officers against County Government’s Act 2012, article 58 part 3 (b).

After this site exposed the issue of Safaricom staff on contract, read here, a staff of Coca-Cola bottling plant for Nairobi region, Nairobi Bottlers Limited, says that he’s been on contract for than 6 years.
I have seen the issue about Safaricom on contract workers that prompted me to Inbox you too.
I thought it was only in Nairobi bottlers (Coca-Cola) where contract workers are given more work and less pay.
I have been on contract for six years now, I know others who have been on contract for even to seven years.
It’s sad because they promise to confirm us on permanent basis year in year out, only to come up with excuses that the company is not doing well.
Big companies with big names taking advantage of helpless workers, just wondering for how long does someone work before he’s confirmed in line with laws in Kenya.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko today posted his HIV status online.
This follows a week of crazy revelations occasioned by his uncomfortable relationship with the Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.
Passaris and Sonko had clashed during this year’s Madaraka day.
Passaris accused Sonko of sabotaging her works in the county. A claim which Sonko had vehemently denied.
Sonko was invited to a show on local TV to clear the matter but his interview was cut short due to ‘editorial issues’ after the governor revealed a lot than was necessary.
After being cut short, Sonko went live on Facebook and laid bare his WhatsAPP communications with Passaris, leaning towards clearing his name and accusing Passaris of falsehood and mischief.
The next day, a photo allegedly of a court document showed that Sonko had in the past asked the court to release him from prison so that he can continue with treatment because he was HIV positive.
The claims were also published by a local newspaper, The Star.
Sonko warneed the Star to issue an apology and retract their article to which the newspaer refused.
Today, the governor did two things, first, he moved to court to sue the newspaper and he also published his HIV Results which was done at The Nairobi Hospital.
