Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko went LIVE on Facebook just moments after his controversial interview on Citizen TV’s #JKLive was brought to a premature end.

Sonko had been invited to the show to give his side of the story over his recent altercation with Nairobi County Women Representative Esther Passaris but it quickly turned messy after Sonko brought forth fresh allegations and backed them up with documents.

However, towards the end of the interview, Sonko’s allegations slowly turned into personal attacks as he shredded Passaris live on air prompting the show’s director to bring it to an end.

Just minutes after Sonko was shut down, he took to Facebook where he started a live video session captioned “Enjoying my freedom of expression and right to reply” and continued to show the online world even more screenshots and recordings of his conversations with Passaris.

On Tuesday, this site exposed Gem Member of Parliament Elisha Odhiambo assaulting a blogger Maurice Ochieng alias Don Pablo who had alleged on his Facebook page that the MP had been arrested by officers from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC).

The MP accosted the blogger and slapped him severally while in the company of other youths.

The blogger immediately reported the incident to the local police station and was given an OB number.

Media reports indicating that the incident is alleged are not true.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has told businessman Dr Manu Chandaria to keep off a piece of land occupied by squatters in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums.

The Governor has instead asked Dr. Chandaria to seek for compensation from the national government as ordered by the court.

Speaking while distributing food to Muslim faithful from informal settlements across Nairobi at Nyayo National Stadium, Sonko said the Kenyan constitution allows squatters to claim ownership of land if they have lived on the land for more than 12 years.

He vowed to ensure that the squatters are given title deeds for the piece of land that has been at the centre of controversy between Dr. Chandaria and the locals.

“I want to warn Dr. Chandaria that l will not seat down and watch him frustrate the poor in the slums. If he wants to be compensated for the piece of land he should use the right channel,” Sonko said.

The County chief said he has reached out to President Uhuru Kenyatta over the issue and the President has subsequently instructed the Ministry of Lands to ensure the residents are given title deeds of the land.

“l want to thank the President because when we approached him he directed that no one should be evicted from the piece of land because it belongs to the public,” Sonko added.

The Governor also revealed that a section of those behind land grabbing in Nairobi are planning to approach him to stop opposing the eviction of Mukuru Kwa Njenga residents from the land claimed by Dr. Chandaria.

Sonko warned land grabbers who are targeting churches and Mosques, noting that the Nairobi City County Government will work closely with the national government to ensure that all grounds occupied by religious organizations are issued with title deeds.

The Governor also challenged the Nairobi City County Assembly to come up with stringent laws to protect city residents from greedy and merciless land grabbers who are out to kick them out from their land.

“We have to protect those who stay in slums and to do this we need firm laws,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Governor has insisted that besides initiating development projects in the city, he will keep sharing his riches with the poor in the society

“We must keep sharing with the less fortunate in the society and this is why l will keep doing this,” he said.

It starts like a normal call from 0722625271.The caller identifies himself as an engineer from KPLC.He has all your names and knows where you stay,including your land’s Tittle Deed number.

The person goes ahead to tell you that your piece of land has been identified by KPLC for installation of a transformer.

He requests for your email in order to send LEASE FORM for you to sign,scan and send back to onseria.kplc@gmail.com.

The signed agreement states that one has agreed to grant KPLC authority to construct a transformer on his /her land for a period of 10 years.The person shall be paid Kshs. 2,960,00 for way leave. The person has to pay sh.49,100 in order for KPLC to connect a three phase line to the site (if not connected ) .Benefits include being given a special metre where one will not pay electricity bill for 10 years.

After signing the contract and sending back, another caller from 0207851792 calls to confirm that all is ok but the only hitch is that one is to pay the short.49,100 (if not already connected ) or sh.14,000( if already connected to single phase ) This money is to send to 0722625271 via MPESA.

Funny enough the signed form is in the KPLC system but the company says it’s fake.Who did it? How did it enters the company system?

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is a corrupt institution.

Today, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury Henry Rotich has appointed James Githii Mburu to replace long time crook KRA Commissioner General John Njiraini, whose tenure has been unnecessarily extended to give him some time to hide his loot and those of his cronies.

By this appointment, President Uhuru Kenyatta has ensured that the war on corruption is defeated.

As this site has previously pointed out; Kenyatta is not serious in the war on corruption and continues perpetuates his crony capitalism, state capture.

Kandara Residents Association is disappointed to learn of the efforts by the US Government through the Ambassador Kyle McCarter to interfere with and politicize the matter regarding the Land Lease Renewal by Fresh Del Monte Produce, a foreign company that has disenfranchised Kenyans and citizens for the last half a decade, and wants to continue to do so for the next 100 years.

Following the meeting between the Governor of Murang’a county and the Ambassador, we are aware of a plot to use politicking and well advertised Press pictures like the one above to go against The President’s Executive Order that all public procurement and disposal should be advertised online.

All this is happening despite two Court cases that are trying to ensure the land is adjudicated as per the Public Procurement & Disposal Act of 2015. We have made it clear through the court systems and through various letters to relevant stakeholders and government officials that arbitrary renewal of long land leases is illegal and perpetuates historical injustices.

In Section 13 of the Land Administration Act 2012, it is clear that foreign companies do not qualify for automatic renewal of leases, and to that end, we have tabled our objections and through the National Land Commision, invited Del Monte for dialogue.

In stead of engaging Kandara Residents Association through the channels provided, Del Monte, through their corrupt MD Stergios Gkaliamoutsas, the US Ambassador Kyle McCarter, The Governor of Kiambu, Ferdinand Waititu and the Governor of Murang’a, Mwangi Wairia have colluded to carefully craft an agreement between their respective County Governments and Del Monte Kenya limited, conspiring to cover and enable them proceed to illegally acquire, money and land from Del Monte Kenya limited contrary to the Constitution, NLC ruling and Executive Order.

It is important to remind The US Government, Del Monte and the Governors that Under Section 13 Of The Land Administration Act 2012, that No Other Body Except The National Land Commission Can Renew Leases. We shall not stay silent, neither shall we be ignored, and neither shall we sit by as this impunity continues.

On Thursday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that it has nabbed an extortion ring masquerading as National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) officials in Lunga Lunga township, Kwale County.

The crooks composed of a male and two females had also hired two police officers for the job.

Just how easy is it to use police for criminal activities?

The suspects are:

Two administration Police officer namely Corporal Benson Njoroge Mburu and Constable Margaret Maina of Kiamumbi and Kamiti Corner police posts respectively.

One suspect escaped and is being sought by Detectives.

A car, Nissan Tiida was also confiscated.

The five are to be charged tomorrow.

According to reports, The lady hired was Esther Ngari being a GEMA and lacking required skills & competence despite having a corruption case of swindling 3 million from KMC with EACC. She has been on suspension from KMC but KEBS went ahead to hire her on 17th April 2019.

The lady is now focused on trips as she was to Arusha for two weeks last month after just reporting and is now planning to go to Geneva.

According to an anonymous source, the board chair is very protective of her and the lady has been overheard bragging that she has the ears of CS Peter Munya, who influenced her hiring.

This revelation comes after we exposed how the rogue CS is disregarding the Kebs board in an appointment that he was supposed to make.

Our source from the board had confirmed to us that Kebs advertised for the positions of Kebs MD in March and there were interviews on March 13th. The aftermath of the interviews was three names taken to the rogue CS to appoint one of them, and this is where games started playing.

Using the name of the president maliciously, Peter Munya was overheard lamenting that none of the three submitted names comes from the GEMA community hence appointing even one of them would be an impossibility.

A Nairobi court has frozen two accounts belonging to a law firm suspected to be holding funds alleged to be proceeds of fake gold, Daily Nation Reports.

Principal magistrate Martha Nanzushi allowed the application by the Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) freezing two accounts of Okundi & Company Advocates for three months. The court was told that the two accounts, one at Stanbic Bank and another at Standard Chartered, hold $3 million (about Sh300 million), on behalf of Jared Kiasa Otieno and Chris Philip Okeyo Obure.

In an affidavit filed in court, the investigator also sought to be allowed to scrutinise the books of accounts relating to the two accounts. The documents to be inspected are account opening documents, statements of accounts since the opening of the accounts to date, cheques, cash deposits, withdrawals and RTGS transfers.

Mr Tom Ayieko Okundi, the principal partner of the affected law firm, is a man with a colourful legal career ever since he was certified to practice in 1996.

When working with Oraro and Rachier advocates, he played a key role in the 1998 scandal of grabbed Karura Forest plots. Parliament was told that he commissioned tens of companies that were allocated land in the forest. He would later argue that he was duped into being part of the deal and that he failed to check the authenticity of the companies’ directors and their
Mr Okundi’s alleged involvement in fake gold deals is also the subject of a lawsuit filed in 2015 by United Kingdom resident Ken Fazakerley.

In last week’s case, the court heard that ARA was informed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) that the law firm received the amount from Simuong Group Company Ltd. It is alleged that the money was fraudulently paid to Mr Otieno who has already been charged in court.

It is alleged that Mr Otieno obtained the amount from the company pretending that he was in a position to sell them gold.

The investigator said that they have already opened an inquiry file, with plans to investigate the offence of money laundering and proceedings of crimes. The second account to be scrutinised in the same law firm is at Standard Chartered Bank, suspected to be holding money belonging to Mr Obure.

The court was told the named parties were likely to withdraw or transfer all the money, and frustrate the ongoing investigations.

Mr Otieno, known for his flashy lifestyle, is facing fraud charges in a Sh300 million fake gold transaction. He denied the offence and was released on Sh1.5 million cash bail. He was charged with 15 other persons.

Mr Ricky Thomas Ochieng, alias Tom Okoth, and Juliet Kathambi Kithinji, who are students, were released on a cash bail of Sh300,000 while two foreigners, Abouma Tamoua and Albert Likole Lokunda, were ordered to deposit a Sh1 million cash bail each or a bond of similar amount with one contact person.

The accused were further ordered to deposit their passports in court and to be reporting to the investigating officers once in two weeks failure to which their bond or bail will be cancelled.

The 16 were charged with obtaining Sh300 million from a man from Laos, pretending that they would sell him gold.

Mr Otieno, together with Mr Philip Nashon Aroko, Mr Robert Ouko Owiti and Mr Michael Ochieng denied that on diverse dates between February 8 and February 25, 2019 at Kaputei Gardens, with intent to defraud, they obtained from Sounthorn Chanthavong, a director of Simoung Group Company $3 million (about Sh300 million).

The court heard that they pretended that they had genuine gold in their possession. Other accused persons are Peter Omondi, Paul Otieno, Alice Nzisa, Joyce Akinyi and Seinim Boukar.

It is alleged that using fraudulent tricks and displaying heavy metal boxes, packed with genuine gold bars and an office trading as Nirone Safe Keeping, they pretended to be carrying out genuine gold business. They were further accused of counterfeiting Ghana customs stickers, purporting them to be genuine.

The court heard that between February 8 and 25, Mr Chanthavong, who deals in buying and selling of gold, was allegedly lured to house No. 12 at Kaputei Gardens in Nairobi’s Kileleshwa area and lost $3 million after being duped that the items he bought were genuine gold.

Police raided the house allegedly owned by Mr Otieno and arrested 15 people in connection with the fraud. It was initially stated that they recovered mobile phones, 28 steel boxes, several sledge hammer heads, seven desktop computers and gold-coated iron bars.

The trial against the 16 will start on July 2.

This comes as uncertainty continues over a separate fake gold case in which a man linked to the United Arab Emirates royal family is alleged to have been conned by a group that includes, among others, Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula and Mr Zaheer Jhanda.

Nurses have a reputation for “eating their young.”

It is no different for nurses in Kenya especially to nurses new to a floor.

My nurse career started as a passion and an inspiration to help people in the community at large. When I talk of passion I mean this is what I desired my life to be and I loved being in the field of giving back to the society.

As an inspiration, I one day was in company of a friend who had delivered twins and up to date it lingers my mind why it had to happen. I watched one of her twins die out of negligence something that if I had the knowledge I would have helped.

To date I question the norms in our Nursing culture. Truth be told they are just rotten and absurd.

When I joined Nursing school I really had a purpose and I really worked towards it. Thank you to The Cicely Mc Donnell School of Nursing where they nurture nurses to be the best all round.

My journey as a qualified nurse at The Nairobi Hospital has really undone my passion and my
inspiration. I now work on a ground of adventure.

Adventure begins on the first day at work and to be precise in Operating Theatre Department. A department with ingrained attitudes and bad culture habits which per say are associated with on boarding of a new staff. A notion that to date I have never understood”Baptism by Fire.”

This notion to be precise means Learn on the job by harassment, unkind words,desperation and many bad things just to mention a few. Mind you this is either by your in charge, senior nurses and the likes.

Taking a toll, as a young nurse I always had Nursing as the best career but on my adventure journey I now term it as ‘Slavery’

Why Slavery?

Senior nurses have defined and demonstrated it as a platform for bullying, frustrating, abusing, harassing name them all junior nurses.

On to my sad and depressing story.

I was employed at The Nairobi Hospital at a tender age of 21 years as a trained and qualified nurse. It all started on well since we were all on orientation and learning on the job per say.

Orientation was where baptism by fire was real. Senior nurses shouting at you as if you ain’t human. Mind you the one shouting is also a nurse. Surgeons not left behind going to an extent of chasing you out of theatre since you are a novice. Questions lingered in my mind whether these humans were never novice at any point of their lives.

Truth be told life wasn’t easy and I had to get coping mechanisms which I took a step to be a two way traffic. Be good to me and I will give back with good and vice versa. Days went by in this adventure which really turned out to be a nightmare; Burnout, Stress, Frustration became the order of the day.

Being a young nurse tossing you around all theatres was normal. When one theatre wasn’t busy you are allocated to a busy theatre. As if its not enough breaks became a vocabulary, no tea, no lunch, no water was the order of the day. Yet the seniors had all the time for all these breaks.

To make the matters worse junior nurses had no one to relieve them so by the time the 12 hour shift was over aches all over your system were the order of the day.

MY WORST NIGHTMARE.

It all began when I conceived my baby. Being an expectant mother I had all the reason to go to work. Moreover, I was carrying life. Having watched my junior colleagues I had an idea it would not be a smooth sail.

Previously, the junior nurses who had their pregnancy journey in theatre went through hell and risked losing their pregnancies.

Reason being the bullying from the senior nurses mind you the senior women as if they never were pregnant.

My journey continued as a pregnant
nurse where all was not well. You are expected to lift patients, to run around, to struggle, no break,
no one cares. Then Hell broke lose at 14 weeks gestation I almost lost my baby due to the pressure at work and had a Mc stitch inserted.

I continued with my pregnancy journey at 24 weeks a senior nurse orders me to scrub for a craniotomy a long case to be frank and I scrub two hours down the line I feel a warm fluid run down my legs and I unscrub its blood.

I walked out of theatre alerted no one and sees my gynaecologist who gives me a Two weeks total bedrest.

I am away at home and all is well no pressure no frustration no insults I am fine. I go back to work and at 28 weeks I am left alone to wheel a patient to the recovery room I get hit by the bed on my protruded belly and I rush for an emergency scan and I get another two weeks off.

I am back at 30 weeks gestation and all seems well. All this long no one cares whatever your fate.

We are two in theatre and 6 cases booked. My colleague and I have to scrub for all the cases and when we are done I get a big gush of liquor and I go for monitoring and all is not well but the gynaecologist advises for a bedrest and off I go; 4 weeks later I go back to work the same routine of pressure continues I go into labor at 35 weeks I get my premature baby but thank God all is well she survives.

All along I update my incharge and to make matterrs worse he uses me as an example and goes ahead to mock me by telling me I am not the first one being pregnant in the institution

Thank you that is the way seniors are taught to address junior nurses. I leave for my maternity leave and I thank God I am out of hell.

Who works in hell for heavens sake? this is a young nurse under stress almost going into depression and this is all harassment from one nurse who I will name her as time goes
by.

Why push people to the end? All along only my fellow juniors colleagues check on me. Not even the in charge cares all he /she is after is counting days to end my maternity leave as if not enough makes absurd comments with his fellow seniors.

Maternity leave is over, I am back to work, energized and full of life and zeal to be a nurse.

Few days later this is crumbled into pieces and my nurse career shattered.

The same bullying all over again? Now all eyes on you, ready to eat up the young nurse. The so-called senior nurse on a new platform to destroy and give no meaning to Nursing.

I pity myself and my fellow junior colleagues if these are the people to emulate. Slavery at action. I am now a
lactating mother at work. Allocated in a very busy theatre no break, no relief, no one cares.

It’s 3pm I am engorged fever hitting 39.2 degrees. Dizziness sets in I excuse myself to express and the same senior nurse walks in and scolds me,” what are you expressing instead of receiving the patient, you are delaying theatre.”and goes ahead and makes a rude comment “you will know this is not your mother’s job” walks away making very harsh comments.

Remember I am trying to express next to a toilet in the changing room. I walk out and receive the patient and I settle him in theatre. The same senior nurse comes and shouts at me, ‘Go to Theatre B and set for craniotomy’, a long case there I have had no tea nor water mind you fever is it engulfing me no one cares.

My baby at home has no milk to feed on. Bullying and Harassment at the Core. No one cares people are happy I am frustrated. Not forgetting the Nurse in Charge, A very Arrogant man there I approach him and he makes a bizzare comment if you want to leave just go I will replace you
immediately.

Hands on I will not let these people shutter my dreams and my career I give replies to all their comments and the in charge says I am disobedient.

Well said we junior nurses are voiceless, maybe items to just squander. The last time I checked I was a human being and I leave the hospital to a point of no return. I keep wondering and defining Nursing at The Nairobi Hospital ” A SLAVERY TO JUNIOR NURSES.” A fact that no junior nurse will voice in fear of intimidation and being sacked.

As I write this article I voice the harassment we junior nurses are subjected to at The Nairobi Hospital without fear or favor and no one cares or listens.

Our leaders are out to frustrate us so asto leave the noble career as if they were never junior at some point. Coming to think about it very few people give much thought to the oppression that goes on at work. Especially such a noble job of taking care of the high and mighty in this land.

Tell anyone you work in the Nairobi Hospital and they think “wow wow.” Cummon this is the 21st Century where nursing ought to be valued
and embraced.

Traffic cops operate from 2am targeting those vehicles ferrying fresh produce to the market. If you fail to raise Kshs. 5k bribe, which is determined by the size of your vehicle, you get arrested.

Probox are most targeted.

They arrests you, put you in cells by 5 am, without booking.

Inside the cells is where the muggers are.

They will rob you violently, then at around 9am, tea will be brought by a police officer, whom they give all the loot.

At 2 pm, they will book you in the OB then take you to court at 3pm with trumped up charges.

What are the police saying?

The Police are the ones behind this racket.

A pastor was robbed Kshs. 10k through this act, he was later booked at 1 pm after being in the cells from 5am, he was taken to court at 3pm.

Remember he was arrested at 3am.

They will take you inside cells first without booking if you refuse to “cooperate” inside the cells, they have their “men” who will rob you by force

The “tea” brought later so that they can hand their loot to the tea man.

This is the story of corruption by one old camel Sheila M’Mbijjewe, the deputy Governor of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK)

The CBK deputy governor Sheila M’Mbijjewe attained the mandatory retirement age of 60 years in March 2018, however, one year later the corrupt mama’s boy President Uhuru Kenyatta chose to reappoint her for another 4 year term.

This is now a Central Bank of Kikuyu.

Of Nine CBK governors appointed since 1966, majority are from the same tribe.

Why was Sheila Mmbijiwe reappointed as deputy governor CBK yet she’s past 60yrs already?

Answer: Impunity.

She is a gatekeeper for the corrupt Kikuyu Mafia led by the Relathieves.

Sheila M’Mbijiwe is the one running Central Bank Of Kenya, and the governor runs the MPC (Monetary Policy Committee – the one that sets rates based on economic models). She is the cause of the debacle on Chase and Imperial Banks and many other local banks (now wound up).

The Directors of an Advertising Agency now risk arrest after the High Court declined to stop the DCI from arresting them over a barter trade dispute of 3 Motor Vehicles valued at Ksh7.5 million, Kenyan Digest Reported today. 

Samir Shah the General Manager of Adsite Ltd ,and fellow directors Ramesh shah , Nasim Shah had moved to court seeking anticipatory bail over a payment dispute with Marshalls East Africa Limited a Motor vehicle dealer and sales company.

Adsite Limited says it has been operation since 1970 and have previously engaged in business activities with Marshals Ltd.

In their petition before Justice Weldon Korir the three claim that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation have been stalking and trailing them at there homes and offices in Parklands.

“We have been stalked and trailed to our offices and on the roads by DCI officers purportedly from Nairobi Criminal Investigation office who leave threatening messages to employees and guards directed at us that the suit motor vehicles shall be seized and we will be arrested”,they claim.

Shah says that in 2017,Marshals through it’s Sales Manager approached his Company with a proposal to sell its KIA 2700 Pick up Motor vehicles.

He says that they entered into a sale agreement where they were to pay a deposit of Ksh1.5 million and the balance of Ksh5,850,000 would be settled by way of a set off against costs of outdoor advertisement services to be procured by Marshals limited over a period of one year.

He adds that he deposited Ksh500,000 to Marshal Ltd and on May 10, 2017 issued two other cheques covering a balance of the deposit of Ksh1 million.

He says despite making the payments Marshalls Ltd took the vehicles from their showroom.

The dispute he says is a barter trade contract gone wrong as the Ad agency did it’s part by putting up additional billboards along James Gichuru Road, Peponi Road ,Museum Road and Masaai drive.

The directors say the dispute between them and East Africa Marshall is purely a civil matter and essentially a disagreement or misunderstanding over the mode of payment of the outstanding purchase price of the vehicles arising over a binding and valid agreement that is presently in court.B

l would like you to expose Kakamega County General Teaching Hospital for negligence of duty by Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) students who attend to serious medical issues instead of real doctors.

My girl had an immature birth this week on Monday and the baby was placed in a nursery/incubator, the KMTC students were just siphoning blood from an underweight baby claiming to be going to undertake tests of which I never saw any results and the saddest day was on Wednesday evening when the dumb students did not even notice that the oxygen cylinder which the kids were depending on was empty until someone who refills them came around and reprimanded them

They may lie about the reason for my daughter’s death but the truth is that the empty oxygen cylinder caused this; I have an audio of one of them admitting that the tank was empty for sometime kindly expose this to save future infants.

According to the audio we’ve received, the dad is talking to the doctor to pay attention, at some point she (the doctor) says, “kulikua na shida Jana kidogo tu, oxygen ndio yenye iliisha”.(translation: there was a slight issue, the oxygen run out).

This is too casual.

The dad says that the doctors were busy chatting on WhatsApp.

Yesterday, we exposed how staff at the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) are scamming unsuspecting Kenyans.

Today we received more information about the scam.

Hi Cyprian Nyakundi,

I am also a victim.

I was almost conned by these guys from KPLC. They told me that they were proposing to install a transformer on my land for 15 years and pay me Kshs. 1.5 million.

When I told them this was too little, they adjusted to Kshs. 2.5 million and said that mine was Kshs. 2 million and once the deal goes through, I should give them Kshs. 500K.

This sounded good for me.

But as we continued with the discussion, they told me that for things to go smoothly, I should give them at least Kshs. 50k for the wazees who are discussing the project. This was on a Saturday. This is when I became suspicious.

When I looked keenly on the email, I noticed that the they had used a Gmail account. Immediately, I knew this was not KPLC despite them calling from KPLC.

I told them that I was not ready to pay them anything until I get the payment as they had proposed; this is when they disconnected the phone.

Before the 2017 elections, KPLC was sending exorbitant electricity to customers in a bid to raise funds for the Jubilee Campaign.

Is this a new scheme to raise money for 2022 general elections?

Since we exposed this, KPLC has not written to us to explain what is happening, leaving us with only one conclusion, They are culpable.

KPLC became a cash cow for the few Kikuyus and Kalenjins.

Safaricom contract staff are treated as if the company is doing them a favor. They have been on contract since 2016, when confirmation comes, the management goes against the ethics and employ ‘their’people

Currently we have been asking when we shall be confirmed, they brush it off, saying ‘Safaricom is the best employee ever’.

It isn’t a favorable company anymore; contract staff are giving up and not motivated at all.

Please expose this. They need to confirm the contract guys.

The terror organisation Al Shabaab is mostly known for wanton killings, but who would have known that these merciless killers can also have a soft side? Am not sure, am just guessing.

Maybe the spectators were forced to come and watch the Eid games, held various town in Central Somalia, led and at some points performed by Al Shabaab fighters

Al-Shabab officials also hosted ‘Eid al-Fitr 1440 communal prayers & events in El-Bur (Galguduud), Kunya Barrow (Lower Shabelle), Jilib (Middle Juba), & Buq Aqable (Hiraan).

These games and prayers were attended by throngs of people from the community.
