Fraudulent Loss of( 400,000,000 Million) to Thermodynamic General Supplies Limited at Kenya Pipeline Company in the Financial Year 2013/2014 (Procurement File Reference No. SU/QT566N/13)

KPC lost money from the above company based on evidence we have attached herein, which is credible and in the form of an internal audit that does not only focus on this one scandal, but others.

The above company (Thermo Dynamic) alludes to have a registered office at Gill house Room No.2. The said office does not exist. This was a briefcase company that was registered solely for this transaction and does not exist. KPC did not carry out due diligence to establish the physical existence of this company and its location. It’s not possible for any company to award a USD 4Million to a company without established premises. This company does not exist but just on paper.

Thermodynamic General Supplies limited does not have a website as they used Gmail address (thermodynamic@gmail.com) see their official letter head and confirm the same. There is no company that can execute a tender of such magnitude which does not have an official website. Pointer that this tender was fraud. This was a briefcase company that does not have capacity. They have never paid any taxes and KRA are current searching for them.

Kenya Pipeline Company Limited had a budget of Ksh. 150,000,000(Million) to purchase composite sleeves in the year 2013/2014 but the management conspired to defraud the company so as to buy excess quantities thus ended up in spending ksh.300 million above the allocations. see scanned copy of the system SAP indicating that an LPO could not be raised due to inadequate budget. The screen shot shows budget over spent by over Ksh. 229,916,259 Million fact! This was purely fraud. Public Procurement and disposal act stipulates that a public entity can only procure what has been budgeted for. Potential suppliers and manufacturers in UK and USA which are international companies requested for extension of tender opening so that they could quote which is allowed by law but this was ignored as the people involved as they knew that their brief case company would not compete. That’s another pointer to fraud.

One requirement for a bidder to be considered to be awarded the tender was financial ability to deliver items at KPC premises! That was a key and mandatory requirement! What happened in this case? After the tender was awarded the said company that quoted as a local vendor requested for a letter of credit with payments in milestones of 40% upon drawing of contract, 30% on raising of Bill of Lading and 30% on delivery. This was an absolute abuse of office. Why pay a local vendor with a Letter of Credit and why money was be paid before delivery of items. Thermodynamic General Suppliers has never filled any returns with KRA. They were paid and did not submit VAT to KRA which was in excess of Ksh. 55,000,000 Million. Pointer to serious fraudsters. KRA is on there case and searching for directors who took off.

Find attached an internal audit report where it was raised by the internal auditors how public funds were looted. Top management with the board ignored this report and acted with impunity and suspended from duty the auditors who executed the report. That is the level of impunity at KPC. Mr. Francis Amina Juma – Working with KPC the owner and supplier. He owns the company, Thermo Dynamic.

Mr Lamik Rotich Engineer with KPC who was Mr Tanuis PA at the time.

Mr Antipas Tirop- KPC staff part of the cartel who purchased a house at Adams Acade at 16 Million at the same time of this transaction.

Mr. Kelvin Amimo Chief Engineer corrosion who masterminded the entire procurement as the user.

Issues that should be addressed by KPC Board

The above issue was reported to both management and board of directors. Why has KPC management failed to institute thorough investigations and report the above issue to either the CID arm of police or EACC and KRA for action if they are not involved in the cover up?

Why has KPC board failed to suspend from duty the senior managers involved in this fraud who are in office today and have earned promotion despite this fraud?

Why did KPC management deploy and suspend from duty without pay the internal audit staff who conducted the audit and investigation of the above fraud.

Why did KPC management suspend from duty senior security investigator from duty based on malicious allegations that the whistle blower of the scandal (Cyprian Nyakundi) was a kisii and thus victimize him on tribal lines?

I have taken my sweet time to study the operation of this giant cash cow called E-citizen in Kenya.

On every transaction you are deducted ksh 50 in the name of “convenience fee”. My question is;

1. We pay Safaricom a transaction fee of about Ksh 28 and above that again, we are deducted that Kshs 50 bob which disappears from your final invoice showing payment.

For example, if you want to renew a driving licence for three years, you pay 1400 but through the now mandatory E-citizen, you will pay Kshs 1450 of which 50 bob disappears on your final invoice after you have paid.

This transaction goes to immigration department payments, all NTSA payments etc.

Lets do a simple calculation. For instance, lets say 200,000 Kenyans do this transaction per day that is payment made and done all over kenya through this platform that is 200,000×50 = Kshs. 10 Million daily.

Remember this is online system where does this inconvenience come in from? And why can’t they make it 5bob because there are so many kenyans paying through it as you cant renew a DL, inspection, transfer, etc without using this as a cash cow?

How much is this money per month or how much is it per year? Where does all this money go?

Who collects it because in the final invoice we can’t see it to know if or not it was transferred to a Government account?

How does Safaricom wire these monies to the thieves who have imposed this dubious levy? Are Safaricom involved in this fraudulent scheme, together with NTSA officials, who have recently become overnight millionaires buying land and investing in flats?

Dr. Gicharu and MKU are sued for fraud, breach of contract, copyright and trademark violations, etc., by international Film Maker Yves Tchouta and his production company, XL Squad LLC (“Plaintiffs’).

Reports reaching us indicate that two Kenyans were arrested yesterday, trying to smuggle alcohol in Saudi Arabia.

First and foremost, I have seen reports that the Kikuyu Council of Elders aren’t respected and eminent members of the tribe, because more often than not, they have been spotted liasing with young girls (clande’s) in the various joints they frequents. They then cannot purport to be the custodians of Kikuyu opinion because the young people don’t identify with their retarded views.

After all is said and done, we can all admit that we have less cash in our pockets and accounts than we did three years ago. Because Uhuru is an elite who only concerns himself with policies which support corporations and his family, instead of greater good.

For instance, he has been using his position to front business interests of his family’s business, for instance inviting President Muhammad Buhari of Nigeria to tour Brookside Dairies because he has been exporting milk-powder to that country. He has also been linked to buyouts in Ethiopia, Rwanda, plus some fake sugar-for-milk deal, which was thwarted after public outcry.

Recently Raila Odinga revealed a scam, where a water collecting project in Aberdare will be implemented to divert the natural resource from flowing downstream, but to his family’s Sukari Ranch, where a City is being planned. Indeed, the Ranch which hosts Brookside Dairies was tarmarcked this year, with the sewerage system for the Ruiru Township being diverted there.

Dumb Kikuyu’s need to realise that this “Uthamaki” nonsense is only benefitting Mama Ngina and should join the rest of us in fighting this siege-mentality. I am a resident of Kisii County. I used to work at Kisii Mat but was unlawfully laid off.

Kisii Mat (owned by Asians) is a well doing supermarket in Kisii with several branches and with intention to expand to other counties.

I tell you what my brother; whatever is happening at Kisii Mat is not good at all (over and above the usual normal contempt Asians have towards Africans like spitting on you etc).

1. Workers get in as early as 7.30am leave at 8pm with no break in between (completely no break, even for a single minute).

2. We get peanuts as salary, money that can’t
sustain person (for such a kind of a supermarket with many branches) and they
choose to pay you at any date they think is appropriate, including mid-month.

3. If you happen to get late with or without a good or genuine reason even by a difference of 5 minutes it’s either you will be sent back home or you will have to agree to get paid half day though you will work the whole day.

4. There’s nothing like sick off or sick leave, if you happen to fall sick you will have to produce a doctor’s document so as not be fired on the spot and you won’t be paid the number of days you missed work as result of the sickness.

5. They don’t give off days or leave; I mean guys
work for 7 days a week (Monday to Sunday), 365 days a year.

6. You can be fired at any moment since when being hired no one signs any document/contract. All agreement is done by word of mouth

7.  They don’t remit our contributions to NHIF or NSSF.

The worst and most saddening part is that I have come to realize recently after making inquiries that the county officials and Employees from Ministry of Labour in Kisii are working together with the management of Kisii Mat to deny these workers their rights.

A good government will create opportunities for women so that they can be less of beggars and participate in nation-building. Sport Pesa bribed Sports Minister Hassan Wario and Sports Kenya CEO Gordon Oluoch, to allow them to run a national sports lottery. The concept of a lottery was envisioned in the Sports Act of 2013, which was supposed to be overseen by a Board of Trustee’s, and which would have funded Kenya’s Sporting activities.

The human mind yearns to know the truth and it will be in a state of restlessness if it does not know the truth about something. My mind is very disturbed and wants to know the truth about something. I had lost both my parents in quick succession and was the only child with no siblings.

My mother died as a result of negligence on the part of a doctor. My father died two years later from cancer in Mumbai. When I arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport a lady who was a friend Zulena Adam a.k.a Amina was there to pick me we went to our flat in South C. She said she wanted to stay with me since I was all alone I decided it was fine.

I trusted her and she was very nice and caring and I use to buy her with gifts and help her financially. She started introducing herself as my wife and I did not mind. She invited her brother and cousin to stay with me. However she would take a lot of things from my house such as bags, clothes perfumes jackets my dad and mums phones etc.

After a month or so she claimed she was pregnant with my baby and she suddenly changed she became violent and would fight with me and say I had ruined her life and would have to take care of this baby. She also claimed that since she became pregnant immediately after my fathers death my father was reborn as this baby and I should do all I can to take good care of her. She would often fight and go off to eldoret and come back again saying since I was the father of this baby she wanted to stay with me I kept helping her financially because I wanted to see this baby born because it was the only family I had. We even went to get married but did not pick the marriage certificate.

However one morning Amina asked me for two thousand shillings and said she wanted to repair the TV. After i went to work I sensed something was not right and went back and found my household goods were missing and Amina had left for Eldoret. I contacted her sister and mother but they said Amina did not want to stay with me anymore till she gave birth. I kept helping her financially because she kept saying this was my baby even her brother her mother everyone would say she is carrying my baby and I should help her. I kept sending money through Mpesa.

She finally gave birth in November one month earlier than the due date. She said she had a cyst and was induced into early labour. She had promised me that once this baby is born she would bring it to me in Nairobi. However she claimed the baby was premature and needed to be kept in an incubator.

Her sister sent pics of the baby by WhatsApp. After sometime she was discharged and said she was still unwell and could not travel for six months. I said I would wait and kept sending her money she would make the baby cry over the phone and say daddy and would send messages that I am the father and I should help her she kept sending pics she would swear upon her children that this baby is mine and she would bring it.

To cut the long story short it is now almost two years she has not brought the baby to me. She sent me a final message before changing her line saying this baby is mine and god will bless me for all the help I had given her she swore in the sms that rajab was my son and the sms she sent is proof. I had sent her fare several times to bring the baby but she always made excuses. I even went to the Child Welfare Department and got a letter which requested her to come with the baby and sort out this problem once and for all.

The point I am trying to make is my mind is very stressed due to this problem and is yearning to know the paternity of this baby. I sacrificed all that I had for this baby my mind will not rest until I know the truth about this baby am i really the biological father because I think it is very unfair and inhuman to use a baby in this manner to make money from me especially when i am all alone and have no one to help me.

I feel I was mentally tortured traumatised and my life ruined by this whole experience, nevertheless i am determined to know the truth about this baby because my mind will not be at ease. I trusted this lady and acted in good faith and was always very sympathetic and helpful to her but she just used this baby as an excuse to financially expoit me and then dump me it is very painful.

We cannot forget the verbal outburst of Millie Odhiambo in support of Raila Odinga and directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta, who recently refurbished old train wagons and sent his inferior propaganda team to try and create generic excitement about SGR, which we know was inflated and incomparable to Ethiopia’s SGR.

And while the alcoholic and chain-smoking Uhuru deserves every form of criticism under the sun due to his incompetence, lies, contempt for middle-class, and constantly insulting our collective intelligence, the criticism must be real and intellectual.

We warned Raila Odinga to be wary of people in his camp who are renowned for verbal diarrhoea, ostracising communities against his candidature. But he keeps repeating the same mistakes, whilst expecting different results.

We can tell from social media commentary that Kikuyu’s are fed up with Uhuru. We can feel their frustrations of being dominated by one family led by Mama Ngina, the matriarch accused of land grabbing and poaching.

It looks like the first time in history that Raila is poised to get a sizeable chunk of votes from the Central region. But the more we have overbearing sycophants spewing sentiment meant to stir up emotions, the more Raila will compromise his chances of being President.

Can’t opposition speak calmly to Kikuyu’s? Must you always accuse them of crimes committed by their elites? Can’t you campaign logically on issues affecting them, issues which Uhuru lied about resolving? Like the land issue and title-deeds? Like coffee? Like Brookside’s recent attempt to buy Githunguri Farmer’s Dairy and give them a raw deal? Is it so hard?

Whenever tribal sentiment from the CORD coalition springs up, the only beneficiary according to analysts, is Uhuru, because they seem to bring Kikuyu’s together. This particular action fuels the speculation that indeed, there is money from Jubilee being paid to CORD individuals, to fuel such ethnic hate, because the ultimate beneficiary is Uhuru.

There is also another dumb Luo whom we have attached in this video clip, claiming that he will mobilise youths to fight against Uhuru’s army of supporters. You can clearly see from this YouTube video that while the gesture is being framed as an attempt to endear himself to Raila, the truth is that he has been paid by Jubilee to antagonise Kikuyu’s into voting.

It’s evident that this sudden surge of hateful commentary as opposed to intellectual criticism, is not a coincidence. Millie Odhiambo and this dumb Luo in the video, are definitely on the payroll of Jubilee, to engage in a reverse-psychology tactic, meant to stoke ethnic sentiment meant to brainwash Kikuyu’s into voting out of fear of Raila.

Its high time Raila and the opposition reach out to Kikuyu’s using facts and logic. We won’t accept him losing elections due to his inherent stupidity of ostracising an entire community, who are currently fed up with their so-called “Muthamaki”. These sloppy errors are costly. One would expect that being a perennial loser of elections, Raila would have learnt a thing or two. Not so it seems.

I know acknowledging success is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow for 8-4-4 educated individuals, who were conditioned to believe that we are all equal, and that any skill someone possesses is transferable.

If you’re really doing well, then do it big! And Africa has some of the most exotic destinations like Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, or Casablanca in Morocco. Just off West Africa, there’s a Spanish island called Tenerife, which is famed for its carnival and artistic culture.

If you’re really a baller, travel to Cuba on holiday and sample the culture and music. If you’re the so-called “A-list” Kenyan celebrity, then let’s see you travelling to Europe and not crushing at your friends house in England. We want to see you in Venice, The South of France or Prague. Somewhere out of your comfort zone. Go skiing in the Alps.

But if you can’t afford to take your family on an exotic holiday, kindly refrain from antagonising your followers with this illusion of success of a basic holiday.

There’s a reason why you probably don’t know the aforementioned destinations in the first place. One, the economy is not doing well and homesteads slashed entertainment budgets this Christmas season. Secondly, our parents conditioned us to abscond physical activity. They taught us that during weekends, the only plan is to take us on outings, where we played on bouncing castles, drunk a lot of soda, as they drunk alcohol.

Our parents incubated the current drinking culture we are witnessing in the country.

The truth is that nobody is doing well in this horrible economy, occasioned by the massive theft and plunder by the Jubilee Government.

And the more we analyse corruption trends, the more it’s becoming clear to us that it’s Uhuru Kenyatta who is looting the most, and William Ruto is only getting 10% of the earnings, in this case, if 200 Billion is embezzled by Kenyatta, Ruto gets 20 Billion, which is still collosal enough to fund his activities and harambee’s.

But because Ruto is reckless and Uhuru is managed by a “professional” back-end of his brother and expatriates, they are able to mask their corruption.

I mean can it be a coincidence that Brookside Dairy’s roads are being tarmacked during his presidency? It’s it a coincidence that the 12km entry road to Great Rift Valley Lodge was tarmacked during his presidency? Is it possible that his former St. Mary’s classmates and current employees, the Gethi family, built the Rosslyn Riviera during Uhuru’s presidency?

The truth is, if Uhuru Kenyatta gets a second term, Kenya is going to start deteriorating to the levels of Congo, Cameroon, and the likes, where there is no middle-class. Everyone aspires to live and work in France because of diminished opportunities especially for the women.

Those shitty countries have no tourists and the only mzungu’s who go there, are NGO’s or those stealing their mineral wealth.

The only women you find in the club there are whores, unlike in Kenya where we have corporate women who drive their own cars. But this number of empowered women is diminishing as even the so-called “top” joint in Nairobi Kiza, has been invaded by whores, posturing as decent women.

I am an artist, I don’t want you to reveal my identity yet for fear of victimization. There is a big problem with Skiza and artists are being defrauded of their income being that today the Skiza platform is one of the only platforms that Kenyan artists especially for those Community-based artists who sing in local dilects who used to depend on CD sales, that has been overtaken by technology.

How does skiza operate?

There are three levels

Pre Ngugi-ruling

In this era artists used to give their music to private companies called PRSP’s who in turn uploaded the music to Safaricom. When money came it was also directed to these companies who in turn paid the artsists how they wanted. They did not give artists any logs of how there the music was doing, how much an artist had made, all went into oblivion.

Post Ngugi-ruling

Then came the saviour the judge sent from heaven, Judge Mumbi Ngugi who made a decision that artists CMO’s receive the Skiza money on behalf of artists and pay them. At this point an artist who received Kshs.60 000 per annum , received Kshs.400 000 in 3months. These crooked companies had been fleecing artists and supported by Safaricom to the tooth.

You must have heard of the reknowned artist Eunice Njeri’s cry. She was fleeced. These rats like Bernard Kioko’s “Bernsoft” operate on one thing; LET ARTISTS NOT GET INFORMATION. Eunice njeri was fleeced because these crooks hid the information from them of potential of there music on Skiza platform and how much the artist made.

So during the CMO’s regime, artists atleast now know the potential of their music on Skiza platform but because of greed they also paid artist slightly more, whilst witholding dubious percentages of tax without asking the artists for KRA pin, a ridiculous 7-10% of management fee, while the same PRSP’s still took 5%.

Out of the 100% earnings, Safaricom gave artists 15% which is or was subject to management fee, taxes etc. Information that is currently with artists after intense lobbying is that Safaricom increased the artists percentage to 22% up from 15%.

Lady Justice Mumbai Ngugi is so efficient, that former Chief Justice and most useless wanker in judicial history Willy Mutunga transferred her.

Post Malindi-ruling

This is now a dark era decision by a stupid judge who in my wisdom was bribed. This Goat without looking at the interest of artists who are the majority, made a ruling last December to compel Safaricom to again go back to paying artists through these fleecing rats called PRSP’s.

Now in December, they asked artists to provide them with their bank account detail for them administer the payments. To artists utter shock, they came up with their own logs made internally and the amounts they suggested to pay artist was less than 50% of what CMO’s paid. Then they are cheating artists into signing unscrupulous contracts which will then tie them into being their publishers without their knowledge, thereby having them take atleast 50% of there revenue forever.

On the fact of the revenue, you find that an artist who made kshs.100 000, is being paid kshs. 43, 000.

The biggest problem is that well known artists will be able to earn this amount because they are known, most of them live in Nairobi or have accessible persons in Nairobi to run erands for them. Artists from the village who have their music on Skiza have the biggest hell on earth.

These companies are based in Nairobi and hidden in dingy offices where they make it hardest to be located. I want to imagine an artist from Lamu for instance, coming to look for his 14k in Nairobi, hell on earth. CMO’s were better you can get them across the county.

This is my biggest problem Safaricom has one of the biggest money transfer systems in the world MPESA. Why is it hard for them to pay genuine suppliers of content to there Skiza platforms, to pay artist directly thereby removing all these deductions that are being pelted around by either CMO’s or PRSP’s? ooh! 10%administration fee, oooh 15% management fee, oooh! 7% legal fee. And this is taken from a mere 15% that is paid to artists.

The reason Safaricom uses to evade queries is that they don’t want to deal with artists directly so as to avoid copyright complaints. But complaints are everywhere. Even those people who supply them wuth mobile phones or modems or laptops to sell might have ownership complaints thus they should not use it as a reason for them to expose artist to massive fleecing.

Here is the contradiction. Safaricom claims that payments and management of Skiza is done by third parties, yet Safaricom itself markets Skiza on the mainstream media through billboards, television/radio adverts, etc. So Safaricom conveniently deflects payment issues to third-parties so that they can hide the fact that it’s senior managers benefit from funds stolen from artists.

Youtube pays artist dieectly and has a formular of handling digital complaints. Further what’s hard? In the case of any dispute on rights, such matters and payment be reffered to the CMO’s and KECOBO. This sometimes makes me think Safaricom has a hand in this fleecing.

We want Safaricom to send to artists the logs of how their music did monthly like they do with Mpesa statements so that if they insist on us being paid by any institution, we artists know the value being disbursed and the ridiculous deductions being undertaken.

I still question why does Safaricom insist on paying artists through these RAT institutions like Liberty Africa who sometimes mascarade as Xpedia and Cellulant and yet there are qualified financial institutions like banks who artist can reach from all corners of Kenya. If they cannot use their own Mpesa services, let them send artists a log of how much they have made on Skiza on email or post, let artists go to the banks and with these logs and maybe a unique payment code and let the money paid to the artist directly. If there is any contests let such be referred to CMO’s or KECOBO.

Please help sensitize artists on the current situation and they can unite in one accord and petition the courts to to compel Safaricom to pay artists directly or even give artists logs of how much they have made. Because the right to information is a constitutional right.

Otherwise it is evident that Safaricom is insisting on using these third-parties to scam and steal intellectual property from artists, without their auditors giving them stick. Just in the same manner that Safaricom was stealing airtime from customers behind third-party SMS Premium Rate Suppliers.

Feeling sad…bitter and harassed! KQ at it again…shame on you the Pride of Africa!

We booked a flight with Air France that was scheduled to leave on 30th at 11.30pm. This was being operated by our notorious airline, KQ! Went to the airport and as we checked in we were told that the flight was delayed to the following day at 6am.

Question, why was this not communicated to the Passengers in good time?

Accepted and went back home. 3.30am we start our journey to JKIA and get there on time. Checked in and ready to board.

Boarded but left after 6.30am. Good and smooth flight, excellent Captain and staff. When we were about to land in Paris the Pilot was advised to land in another airport in Paris due to fog which hindered visibility. Fair enough…as we approached the second airport, a message came through that even this one was experiencing serious weather issues and the Pilot was advised to land in Schiphol Amsterdam, so far so good. We land in Amsterdam at 2.45pm local time, our scheduled arrival time in Paris was 12.30pm.
Real drama starts here!!

Wazungus who look like they know their rights can’t understand why we are locked in an aircraft for more than an hour simply because Amsterdam’s authorities could not authorise us to disembark…after negotiations we are let out…some wazungus almost fighting the crew and hurling insults cause of frustration.

We get out and are advised to go to hall 2 for briefing and pick our luggage from belt 9. We go to the Passport control, queue and at the desk we are told we need day visas to access hall 2 and the belt. All the wazungus were not affected by this as they probably had EU passports. We are asked to go to the security. Here they have no clue as to what was happening. They say for day visas, we have to get new tickets.

Meanwhile all the other passengers are now being taken care of by the KQ Station Manager in hall 2 and transportation by bus to Paris arranged for hundreds of them. But about 12 Kenyans going to different destinations are now stranded and locked in at the Passport control hall.

To get new tickets we have to go to KLM transfer desk but we can’t leave this hall unaccompanied by security who will only take 5 at a time and the walk is long. Secondly it is not their headache so they are not in a hurry. To go to the transfer desks we must go thorough a security check. We go thorough this, to the transfer desk and here there is no information about us so we can’t get tickets. We are told the passport control was given a list of our names and with that we should get visas. We go to the passport control hall, once in remember you can’t get out.

After explaining our case, the security says they can’t help, KQ needs to handle the process. We are again advised to go back to the transfer desk…remember we must be accompanied and go through security…we did 4 trips like this before we could get help. Abandoned and on our own…we manage to get new flights for today but can’t leave the Airport cause we can’t get day visas as we were not supposed to land here and even under special conditions this needed to be handled by KQ. Shops closing, lounges closing… It is now 10pm. Homeless, “illegal immigrants”….

For fault that was not ours…we picked a letter from KQ…attached. There was no provision for our category in that letter, it is not signed, there is no apology, they talked about us getting our own accommodation, and money compensation on the room charges… Note in the letter they acknowledge the accommodation being limited and that is why they could not arrange.

So we don’t live here, if they were unable to get, then how could we get? However, they didn’t think about us who could not access the accommodation, we couldn’t get our luggage either.

KQ, surely why is your Management so unprofessional, so uncaring? Where is your PR? Question? Who will compensate us for the inconvenience? Harassment? Sleeping in the cold? Being subjected to ” illegal immigrants status”? My advise to the Kenya Government, if you do not salvage KQ, the country will lose a lot.

As it is now, many valuable travellers have no faith in the Airline. Something needs to be done urgently! Total overhaul of the Management team. They are extremely insensitive! Will only be able to get to my destination two days after my scheduled flight.

We have received an email from a passenger at a shuttle service which has coincidentally been behind many road accidents and caused many deaths. The North Rift Shuttle Sacco staffers are now under the spotlight for stealing a passenger’s luggage.

But apparently North Rift has ammersed power and clout by bribing their way out of problems, and it’s the reason perhaps despite their vehicles causing many accidents and deaths, they’re still allowed to operate with impunity.

I have experienced an issue that has highly displeased me. I would love to share it with you so you can highlight the issue. It will be of great help to many people. It concerns the North Rift company. I also request that once you decide to publish or share it (in case), please don’t disclose my identity.

So yesterday I was traveling from Kitale to Nairobi. I often use North Rift. When the car that I was to use arrived, as usual, all luggage is stored in the back or one stays with it. Since I happened to be sitting next to the driver, I couldn’t risk having my bag there as it could have been a distraction. Once I placed my bag and all other customers did, the boot was closed.

We traveled all the way to Nakuru without anyone alighting or the boot being opened. I was on medication so at the Nakuru stop over I went to check the boot so I could get my medicine. My bag wasn’t there. Thinking it to be somewhere within, all my fellow passengers helped me check all around for it, nothing.

I immediately called the Kitale office and inquired. They said they were working on it; they did it reluctantly. The driver then told me that , Kevin, a worker at the Kitale office had rearranged the boot some minutes before we left. I called the regional manager of the Kitale office, and that’s where quite some serious action started taking place. The bag was looked for.

Even pictures of bags not claimed were sent, I couldn’t trace mine. So I called the overall customer care office, and they promised to work on the case. I was taken in circles for the better part of my journey with questions such as ‘ Are you sure you had the bag?’ Honestly, no one in their sane minds can forget that which carries their documents.

I arrived in Nairobi very late in the evening and met the Nairobi office assistant manager. He listened to my case and contacted the office. Same answers, same people. Early today morning I reported the case to Kamukunji police and wrote a statement on the same. I was given the OB number and I sent it to Kitale so the police around there would work with the office to try to locate my luggage.

My mom went along with the police during the day. The people at the office, Kevin included, said that I did not arrive at the station with any bag, definitely a change of story to save their unapologetic ass. They even went ahead to say that ‘ North Rift is a big company and you can do nothing about it.’ An insult to the normal citizen.

My guess is that these guys take goods away from customers and tend to use the same escape route as blind Kenyans just accept the final word and do nothing about it. If this thought is anything to go by, then hundreds of customers have suffered great losses in the hands of thieves masquerading as employees( of course they are)

The police need me to record a statement so it can be seen “how big North Rift is.”

I’d appreciate if you give an ear to my predicament so we can save anyone else who was to undergo the same ordeal am in right now; no documents, no clothes, no shoes, just a name and misery to myself. Indeed a sad day for me.

If this issue goes public, definitely, I the complainant is known as a result of my many calls yesterday. I’ll be in danger of anything, but at least, many will be in the know.
