A Kenyan developer, Victor Mumo, has won big in a case where he sued world-bank linked ‘Activist’ Damaris Mumbi Ndung’u after she refused to pay him after he developed her website.
Courts orders Mumbi to pay the full amount for work done, plus other costs and interest.
The developer had narrated on Twitter how Mumbi had taken him in circles and refused to pay him even after he spent many sleepless nights working on Mumbi Ndungu’s website.
After the revelations, the pseudo-activist sent Victor Mumo demand letters saying that he had bullied her on social media after he spoke out about his tribulations.
It all seems that Mumbi Ndung’u was willing to pay ambulance-chasing lawyers to write demand letters to the developer instead of using the money to clear the debt.
In one of the court sessions, a shaken Mumbi admitted that she owed the developer the money but could not explain why she hadn’t paid the cash.
Despite all the shenanigans, Mumbi decided to fight on, even as victory seemed like a mean feat to achieve. One wonders how such women sail up the ladders with such infinite wisdom…But hey…We digress
Mumbi Ndug’u had earlier been exposed by the chief editor of this website for showing off a flamboyant lifestyle on social media but cannot afford to pay small debts.

Maybe Mumbi wanted to repay Victor with other means but hey, Victor just wanted the money, not overused products.
Here is the developer’s Twitter thread giving more details about the case that will maybe help other developers in the same situation
So in about a year or so, I went to court and I won. Judgement entered in my favour for the full amount plus interests & costs. SCCCOMM/767/2021. Victor Mumo vs Damaris Mumbi Ndung’u aka @Cobyi …Thread! https://t.co/e5mN8GLkSn pic.twitter.com/lPZFlKw3li
