This website has exclusively obtained an audio conversation between online marketer Xtian Dela and Bidco Group Marketing and Public Relations Manager Pharis Kimaru.

In the audio, which was given to us by a hacker, Pharis Kimaru speaking on behalf of Bidco Group CEO Vimal Shah, is heard begging Mr. Dela to help campaign for the company, in the midst of the negative publicity that the company has endured.

Bidco has been caught in a series of scandals, ranging from land-grabbing in Uganda, worker-strikes, pollution from their plant in Thika, collusion with the Director of Immigration which allows him to employ bogus Indians without valid work-permits, tax evasion currently being probed by parliament, and most recently, a case whereby two Nigerian footballers playing for his team Bidco United FC were remanded for over 5 months, for forging Kenyan ID’s.

Having bribed the mainstream media establishment and bought their silence, social-media remains the last frontier that corrupt Kenyan corporates have not been able to silence, due to its dynamic and vibrant nature.

In the clip, Pharos Kimaru vents what clearly is Vimal Shah’s and the wider KEPSA member’s thinking, that Twitter is a lynchmob, that has assembled individuals to undermine their activities.

Vimal Shah is clearly a perturbed human being as the constant social-media campaigns against Bidco, seem to have caused irreparable damage to his company, a matter he personally orchestrated after trying to frame the editor of this website Cyprian Nyakundi for extortion.

He has explained Bidco’s desperation at what he termed as “bullies” who despite the obvious fact that they’re speaking the truth, have given Vimal Shah sleepless nights. The audio also reveals that other prominent bloggers like Robert Alai have declined to be part of Bidco’s woes.

The Bidco CEO has also faced numerous court-cases, accused of trying to defraud Tatu City owner Stephen Jennings, a matter that has further dented his image, after protests were held against him in London.

Corporate bloggers like Owaah.com had been paid by Vimal Shah to do a fake chronology-of-events as to the genesis of the Tatu City woes as narrated by Vimal Shah, and the blogger even managed to plug-in the fact that there was an extortion attempt. The High-Court has since dismissed that case.

But the audio reveals just how corporate Nairobi is riddled with snakes. Someone telephones another begging for help, but secretly recording so as to later release to the mainstream media, all for the sake of job security.

The audio can also serve as a case-study as to the diminishing influence of mainstream media, and the rising stature of social-media, as the true bastion and custodian of expression. Bidco’s desperate search for a credible online partner should be used by other corporates on what to not do, to antagonise the loosely-formed but highly influential Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) group.

There was once upon a time that bitter and sexually-frustrated feminist Betty Waitherero had attempted to usurp and assume influence over this uniquely vocal group, by imposing a logo idea, a move that was thwarted by Kenyans who saw it as an attempt by the JAP 36 Bloggers to control the narrative of Kenya’s Twittersphere.

Pharis Kimaru will die a poor man because of his inherent stupidity. Instead of working out a reasonable out-of-court settlement with Xtian, and then getting a commission, he opted to escalate the matter, by generating cheap publicity, editing his voice and portraying one party as the extortionists. What he had sought to run away from using temporary cheap-thrills, has come back to injure his employer extensively.

Now Vimal has to endure the unlimited time we will allocate to Bidco, because on behalf of this website, we will continue carrying information that will benefit both our audiences and the greater good of the country.

To excite Xtian, Pharis Kimaru the genius promised him that he will get him in a room with Vimal Shah; probably for an autograph because the Bidco CEO is such a celebrity whom Kenyans just want to be in the presence of.

On behalf of my team, this website doesn’t negotiate with terrorists. People who once went out of their way to injure our characters and reputation, will most probably do the same if the opportunity presents itself. These are dangerous war-mongers who thrive in chaos and disorder.

Vimal Shah and Bidco Group aren’t the first corporate entity to face damning allegations as regards to their professional impropriety. But as regards to what they did, and how they stupidly attempted to engage through the process, they have set a precedent that others should never follow. Courts exist for a reason. Alternatively, use available channels to address the issues raised.

This obsession with using State Machinery, like the way Bob Collymore influenced Cyprian Nyakundi’s illegal detention and confiscation of gadgets, yet he was to later admit that he has been stealing people’s airtime through third-party scammers, is not the way to go. For the Director General  of East African Development Bank (EADB) Vivienne Yeda Apopo to bribe CID officers in-order to arrest me, is living an illusion because the law criminalising opinion, was declared unconstitutional.

Please take time and listen to this audio, which will reveal just to what extent Vimal Shah goes through, and how he takes everyone like a fool.

The question to ask Vimal Shah today is this, was it worth it? Was this whole episode worth risking the reputation of the company his father and brother have spent years building?
