A tragic incident occurred yesterday at King’s Square, a commercial building located in the bustling town of Eldoret, leaving many in shock and disbelief.
According to eyewitnesses, a man who worked as a cleaner in the building jumped from the fourth floor and fell to his death.
The man, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, was said to have been dismissed from his job by his cruel female manager, Carol, following an unauthorized absence from work.
However, the circumstances surrounding his absence are unfortunate, as the cleaner had reportedly missed reporting to work as he was attending to his sickly wife, who was bed laden and needed constant attention.
However, his pleas to be spared the sack fell on deaf ears, and he was summarily dismissed.
The man’s despair at losing his job was overwhelming, as he saw it as the only means of providing for his ailing wife.
This pushed him into making the drastic decision to end his life in a horrid manner.
The incident has left many social media users outraged at the heartlessness displayed by the cleaner’s manager.
His harsh dismissal raises questions about the treatment of employees in workplaces and the importance of prioritizing empathy and compassion when making decisions that affect their livelihoods.
The police are currently investigating the matter, and the cleaner’s family has yet to release a statement.
