Ex-Governor Daniel Waithaka-Owned Nyahururu Elite School Fails To Pay Teachers
This time around, the same employees are complaining about being overworked.
Writing to us on Tuesday, 28 June, one frustrated tutor revealed that the learning institution has not been honouring holidays as stipulated in the official Ministry of Education school calendar.
Recently, the administration denied them a chance to go for a much-needed half-term break and forced them to work extra hours without compensation.
They quietly endured the rest of the term, hoping that the upcoming holidays would provide an opportunity to recover from exhaustion.
On the contrary, they have only been allowed a 5-day break during the current school holidays.
Although most members of the workforce are irked by the current sad state of affairs, most are too afraid to speak out.
“Hi, Nyakundi,
I would like to tell you something about the Nyahururu Elite School.
Kindly post for us.
We didn’t go for half term, then the closing day is here.
We are only liable for a holiday of five days and the administration has no audacity to face us to communicate.
They are harsh they don’t listen to teachers.
We are overworked, and the pay is low.
We are suffering and not given any attention,” the source writes.
