After tirelessly covering the sad plight of employees at CFAO Motors Kenya (formerly Toyota Kenya) and amplifying their protest against rampant mistreatment and oppression by the vehicle distributor’s management, hope is on the horizon as the wheels of justice seem to be finally gaining ground.
Following our nine-part part series that delved into the company’s deep-rooted troubles attributed to a crooked leadership, we are now reliably informed that CFAO Group has begun an internal investigation into the corrupt and rogue senior administration led by Managing Director (MD) Arvinder Singh Reel, Chief Operations Officer Joshua Anya and General Manager Andrew Omolo.

Guided by submissions anonymously presented by disgruntled employees, the inquiry into the organization’s internal operations seeks to extensively probe the allegations with the aim of taking appropriate legal action against all implicated parties.
For the better part of Monday, 11th April 2022, a panic-gripped Mr Arvinder Reel was profusely sweating in his office upon the realization that CFAO executives are not only looking into claims of staff mistreatment but also mismanagement, embezzlement of funds and gross misconduct.
Highly reliable sources privy to the matter have disclosed that one of the items that raised eyebrows among the top hierarchy includes the recently launched construction of the Sh500m CFAO showroom to be opened in Kisumu where a huge chunk of the project money is suspected to have gone into people’s pockets.
It is alleged that some of the building works have been granted to a company closely linked to a member of Mr Arvinder Reel’s wealthy family.
In this shocking form of outright, daylight robbery, the firm identified as Kisumu Concrete reportedly quoted over Sh120m for the job but delivered a project worth not more than Sh400k.
In an attempt to salvage the disturbing situation that is quickly getting out of hand, Mr Arvinder Reel recently demoted a section of vocal employees led by one Peter Wanjala that was popular among the workforce for his bold character.
As punishment, he was moved to the Finance Director position at DT Dobie.
Despite the frequent reshuffles to cast out rebels, a select group of favoured but poorly performing personnel always seem to be spared.
One of them is Josephine Mwandoe.

The curvaceous and well-endowed young lady is a budding beginner in the finance office that is believed to be a mistress to the company’s boss.
She is the only person at CFAO Motors Kenya that is immune to the MD’s brutal and unforgiving nature.

Peter Wanjala was in charge of Corporate Affairs at Toyota Kenya before being forcefully moved against his will to DT-Dobie.

In one of our previous articles, an insider divulged how top officials at the distributor have been engaging in illegal backroom dealings with suppliers linked to Managing Director Arvinder Reel.
The firms mentioned are mostly owned by his Indian friends and relatives.
They are offered disposed company vehicles at throwaway prices.
Geminia Insurance, Satguru Travel, Kisumu Concrete were among those mentioned.
All these are Indian companies where MD has a direct interest.
As the internal investigation into Arvinder Reel proceeds, we encourage more employees at the company to fearlessly come out and unearth deeper details of what is happening at their workplace.
This will help trigger action from relevant authorities who are rumoured to be already pocketed by the suspects.
Their mouths are too full to speak, but ours are not.
