Hi Nyakundi,
I am writing on behalf of employees of Lex Oil based in Mombasa; Our CEO is, one Emmanuel Kitusa. He is also the owner of the company.
We have not been paid, salaries since October and he has refused to renew employees contracts, and brazenly tells the staff hakuna mahali watampeleka.
As of March, no employee has a contract. He says the earliest he can pay is April 14 and that employees can go home and wait if they so wish or be patient.
The problem is he did not renew their contracts. They do not even know if he will pay them for Jan to March. All contracts expired in December 2019.
He pays the foreman to keep the employees, on sight and collects names of those, who stage sit-ins and go-slows, and fires them over the phone. He brags that he has many cases in court but they are going nowhere. How can they get their money so that they, can leave and, sort themselves out?
What are their rights?
Help them Nyakundi, by exposing this con.
They have families. Rent to pay. Medical. Food, Fees. Please help them. They need jobs yes, but paying ones.
They are hanging on each day hoping they will get their money.
Please assist them.
