The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is a state corporation established under the Industrial Training (Amendment) Act of 2011. The Authority has five industrial training centres spread across the country.
Staff from the training institute are accuse the management of stealing their money since statutory deductions like PAYE, NHIF, NSSF etc are deducted from their pay but are not remitted to the relevant body.
Who is ‘eating’ their money?
This is a serious laziness or breach of trust since some of the deduction are as serious as tax to Kenya Revenue Authority and deductions to pay loans held in various financial institutions.
The delay causes havoc to staff as they are penalized for late remission of funds.
