Suraya Property Group Ltd is a real estate company incorporated in 2006 by Pete and Sue Muraya.
Read below the investors’ sad story.
Hi Nyakundi,
Would you kindly highlight the Suraya issue?
There are many people who are suffering from their lies.
They have 13 projects that are incomplete and have received funds from potential investors with nothing to show for it.
People have lost billions of shillings.
From today’s meeting from about 26 people they’ve collectively paid 300 million +.
They are currently coming together to file suits against Suraya and hopefully get back their hard earned cash.
Failed projects
A number of Kenyans are already counting losses in millions of shillings after the some Suraya projects failed.
Lynx – Royal Estate, a development under the Suraya Properties Limited, is a real estate developer that has now earned itself a bad record.
According to Wairimu Thimba, an investor, the said property was to be completed in 2014, with the payment plan being in instalments.
Police involvement
Some of the investors have already recorded statements with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over the matter, but all was in vain.
Below are some of the tweet we sampled over this matter.
DO NOT GET DUPED!!! I am one of many investors who, 6 years after engaging Suraya, has no apartments to show for my millions paid. The truth is infront of you. #sufferingsuraya #dupedmillionsbysuraya #holdsurayaccountable #KOT #surayapropertysham pic.twitter.com/iWoGnfiV7P
