Hello, my name is Timothy.
I’m a member of a none profit organisation called Project Kenya International. We are currently in a court battle for justice. We are from America and came here 17 years ago to help underprivileged children to have a chance in life to fulfil their dreams.
We help provide a chance for them to go to schools and get a good education. We also help them have school uniforms, supplies and food. We also help pay their school fees.
We have many Ministry’s we provide for here in Kenya. Another thing we do is feeding programs feeding 100s of children a day. We also had a vision of building an orphanage.
But our dreams were cut short because of a pastor here in Nyeri.
Our organisation and director had done several projects with him and his church. Our board of directors had begun to trust him as a true friend. We were looking for land to purchase for the Ministry to be able to build the orphanage and other Ministries on the property.
At the time of finding a nice piece of property here in Nyeri and looking it over. The director of project Kenya Teri Crane took the proposal to the board and asked about purchasing the property and the board agreed.
The pastor told the director of project Kenya that they could not purchase land here in Kenya without an NGO. He told the director in the board he would stand in trust until project Kenya could get there NGO So that the property could be purchased and it was agreed by the director and the board to allow him to be in trust until project Kenya received the NGO.
All paperwork was written up at a advocates office. Saying that the pastor would stay in trust. So, the property was purchased and the titles put into the pastor’s name. Then the day came when project Kenya received there NGO.
The pastor was called to come to the advocate’s office to sign the titles over to project Kenya. At that time he refused to sign over the titles. He said he was keeping it for himself. There is a house on the property as well. And he had been given permission by project Kenya to be the caretaker.
So, now, the pastor has lived in the house for 7 years while we wait on the court system to let us testify. We have over 250 pages of evidence. And many witnesses. It should be an open and shut case.
We have been to court over and over again and several times the judge has not even shown up for court on our court day. Our last court day on July 4th of this year our ever get have asked the judge for two days of testimony.
Rodger kenyon spent thousands of dollars on airline tickets. So that witnesses from the USA could come here to Kenya and testify. On that day we realised the judge must be taking bribes. Because we were only allowed to have one and a half hours of testimony. It was 2:00 pm and she closed the courtroom with no other cases behind us and no one else in the courtroom but us.
With no explanation of anything of importance she just left. But before she left our advocate was trying to plead with her that he had already informed her that we were travelling from the USA and needed to proceed.
And he asked for several days to hear the testimony at that time but she just laughed at him. Seems every time we go to court she finds a way to extend it to another year.
We feel a blatant injustice. We have lost several children because of no place to put them. We have 165 children in our program. We come here to Kenya and sacrifice our selves to help the children of Kenya.
Only to have the court system and a pastor rob from us. Is there any justice in Kenya?
