CAPTION: Donald Kipkorir’s vehicle is still parked at the RMA Kenya showroom, over unpaid taxes. Could it be all lies? Could the fake lifestyles that individuals like Donald Kipkorir and Ezekiel Mutua be a figment of their vivid imaginations, and a publicity-stunt aimed at intimidating rural-bred but urban-schooled journalists?
Well reports reaching our newsdesk indicates that Donald Kipkorir’s vehicle is still at the RMA Kenya showroom, months after the flamboyant Kalenjin thief posted on social media how God has “blessed” him in his endeavours.
In Kenya, thieves attribute their proceeds of crime to God’s blessings, led by William Samoei Ruto who is renowned for giving generously to church harambee’s under he guise of serving the Lord.
The Range Rover 2016 immediately caught the attention of basic bitches Lillian Muli and Huddah Monroe, who regurgitated the buffoonery of Donald Kipkorir on their social media accounts, much to the dismay of their followers.
Lillian suffered a major blow after Citizen TV pulled the plug on one of her “ideas”, the Fashion slot which featured four hedgehog-looking scarecrows led by the aging Ian Mbugua. Typical of Daystar journalism, Lillian ignored merit and instead opted to elevate mediocrity, at the expense of real/bonafide fashion critics who are a dime a dozen in Nairobi.
In the same breath, Ian Mbugua who controlled the Tusker Project Fame, together with the rest of the urchins working for the East Africa Brewing Company (EABL) opted to turn a blind eye on real talent, and instead used the project to promote fake talent. Its no wonder that none of the participants has gone on to be an accomplished artist.
Nairobi is not about merit, but who you know. Cartels and cronyism and not excellence run this hopelessly-pathetic city, riddled with shameless self-promoters.
But the market is beginning to respond to the cronyism, by rejecting initiatives conjured for the benefit of individuals. For instance, Kenyans boycotted the Safari 7’s tournament enmasse, as a statement against Jazz and the title-sponsor. I mean, which idiot hosts a jazz concert at the Safaricom Village? Only one.
Kenyans should join hands and shun mediocrity by boycotting events and media platforms borne out of the greed to benefit and not offer value and benefit to the eventual consumer.
An official from RMA Kenya who sought anonymity said there are uncleared arrears of the car, which have blocked the delivery of the vehicle, relating to tax. Meaning that Donald Kipkorir is of the “fake it till you make it” generation, juggling various sources of income to portray glamour and pomposity.
Like another Kalenjin thief Kiprono Kittony who thought he’d strike the jackpot by grabbing a parcel of land along Mombasa Road, Donald Kipkorir seems to be waiting on a deal that’s yet to come through.
