Two young girls were left stranded in Athi River, a town in Machakos County, Kenya, after they had a disagreement with the man who took them there and did not have money to go home.
The girls, whose identities have not been revealed, recorded a video of themselves walking in the dark along the road, asking for help from anyone who could see their TikTok post.
The video seen by cnyakundi.com was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Carlton Kitheka (@carltonkitheka1).
It has since gone viral on social media, sparking both outrage and sympathy from netizens.

According to Carlton kitheka, who shared the video, he came across the girls’ post on TikTok and decided to repost it on his account to raise awareness.
He said he did not know the girls personally, but he felt sorry for them and wanted to do something.
The current whereabouts and condition of the girls are unknown.
It is also unclear what led to the fallout between them and the man who took them to Athi River.
