Edinburgh School Murang’a
Following an expose published this week on Tuesday, we received numerous calls and outcry from the public and teachers from the school.
We established that information about Edinburgh school was malicious, falsely gathered and meant to tarnish the good name of the school by the competitors who are threatened by its rapid growth.
Our investigations further revealed that the source of the information doesn’t work for the school and must have been used by detractors to tarnish the good name of the school.
According to the school principal Mugaisi Atsenga, there is no active litigation in court regarding its salaries, adding that the management of the school and teachers are in a cordial relationship.
She said she will not allow the school to be used for political mileage by detractors.
Despite having some interest in the school, former Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria does not interfere with the running of activities at the institution.
Atsenga said it shocked her to see the name of Wa Iria being dragged into the salaries of teachers, adding that the school runs independently.
“Edinburgh is among the fastest-growing schools in Central Kenya in terms of infrastructure and quality of learning,” Ms Atsenga stated after we reached out for a comment.
“Some schools in the region are feeling the heat of Edinburgh School, hence their desperation to disparage our good name.”
We have also confirmed that the school has adequate professional teachers.
We are mandated to verify our stories and get the right information even after publication, unless otherwise.
We, therefore, apologise to the management of the school, parents and teachers of Edinburgh School for any damage our earlier story might have caused.
