Customers at the Equity Bank Nairobi West Branch witnessed dramatic scenes on Tuesday after an armed man with unclear intentions attempted to force his way into the banking hall.
Information suggests that the lone thug showed up at around mid-morning and ambushed the building’s guards.
The attack reportedly left some people nursing stab injuries.
Police, however, quickly arrived at the scene and neutralized the situation.
The suspect was arrested and taken out of the building some moments before noon.
The bank was cordoned off and the road leading to the building temporarily closed.
