Just as this blog predicted in October 2021, Vivienne Yeda Apopo’s reign as head of Kenya Power’s board of directors has been a total disaster.
Prior to her official appointment in November 2020, Vivienne Yeda oversaw massive mismanagement as MD of East African Development Bank (EADB) where she perfected the dark art of corporate fraud.
Two years down the line, oppressed voices within the state agency have constantly confirmed what many straight-minded Kenyans had forecasted in the beginning: she was the wrong person for the job.
But this was hardly a surprise.
In the last 10 years of the UhuRuto regime, the most corrupt, publicly, are the ones who get appointments since it is easier to help the despotic duo loot more without shame.
After months of disagreements within the top section of the management, the disorganization at Kenya Power has taken a heavy toll on frustrated employees who are now calling for urgent intervention from the incoming regime.
They say that the Board’s failure to officially confirm appointments has led to a state of confusion within the company as managers and directors in acting capacities can hardly perform their duties independently.

There is a Borad Chairman named Vivienne Yeda, she’s running KPLC like her own house.
If you look at the management from Managing Director, up to GM no one is confirmed they’re all in an acting capacity.
Employees are suffering since management has no power to run the company.
