Today we are back at Parklands Arya Girls High School, a public secondary in Westlands constituency, Nairobi County, that keeps dominating this blog’s headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Over the past two months, we have consistently covered submissions from parents exposing extensive fraud and extortion overseen by rogue Senior Principal, Madam Rhoda Ogaro, who is accused of demanding outrageous amounts of money to fund many ghost construction projects that are never completed.
Last week, parents threatened to mount a major public protest at the beginning of the next term if the issues raised are not addressed.
As plans for the planned protest continue to gather momentum, parents have once again called on the EACC, DCI, and any Ministry of Education executives left with an ounce of dignity to immediately launch investigations.
They also want the authorities to look into an older requisition for a probe into the bizarre happenings at the school.
The letter that was addressed to the Nairobi County Director of Education three years ago is still gathering dust at the office.
“Hello, Nyakundi,
Thank you for your continued exposes on Parklands Arya Girls.
It is in pursuit to save Kenyan parents.
Complains have not just begun but started way back in 2019.
Below is a letter from parents complaining about the same things by the same headmistress.
The letter found its way to TSC headquarters and a letter was written to the Nairobi County Director of Education who was then called Lilian asking her to carry out thorough investigations and furnish the office with a comprehensive report.
The letter still lies in the county office.
A shoddy investigation similar to the one stated in the second expose was done.
Nothing substantial came out of it.
For how long should the ministry wait as Kenyan parents and teachers suffer under this leadership?” the source wrote to us on Friday, July 8.
In previous articles regarding the deteriorating state of affairs at the school, attention was also drawn to the gross unprofessionalism by its teachers who are often underpaid, demoralized, and always desperate to make some quick cash by whichever means necessary.
Support staff work on weekends with no overtime.
They say that the principal has pocketed all local education officers, so airing their grievances is a total waste of time.
During these trying times, cnyakundi.com has proven to be a much-needed haven for the disgruntled parents and workforce to air out their frustrations against the current placed administration.
One after the other, they continue to come forward to uncover the can of worms at Parklands Arya Girls High School.

The guardians have also requested a lifestyle audit on the scandalous headmistress.
They want her to explain the source of massive wealth that she has quickly amassed during her 6-year tenure at the school.
It is alleged that when she took over in 2016, the school bank account had a fixed deposit of Sh10m, which the administration cannot account for.
Not to mention many donations and contributions from local leaders.
For instance, a contribution of Sh100k by area MP Tim Wanyonyi to teachers in 2019 melted into thin air after she refused to surrender it to its rightful recipients.
The same case applies to contributions made by parents.
On matters of teacher mistreatment, the misery does not stop there.
A source has disturbingly informed us that Madam Ogaro is always in a constant cold war with female tutors.
In extreme situations, some have confessed to being physically assaulted.
We also understand that ever since this blog embarked on a series of publications targeting the school, the principal has fallen into deep panic mode and embarked on plans to organize a mock inspection exercise in collaboration with corrupt officials from the Westlands education office to help her sanitize the ongoing evils.
