A businessman based in Githurai, Kiambu County, is crying out for justice after persons suspected to be law enforcement officers took advantage of his absence and rummaged through his shop.
Reaching out to us via this site’s Chief Editor Cyprian Nyakundi’s official Facebook page, the victim shared CCTV footage of the incident that reportedly took place on Sunday, 8th May 2022, which shows three unidentifiable males making entry into the workplace shortly after previous occupants left the place.
In his messages to this blog, the victim claims that the suspects, who he allegedly insists were Kenyan police officers, made away with several electronic items from the small business unit.
It still remains unclear what exactly led to the bizarre occurrence, since the victim failed to provide any further details over fears of victimisation.
He additionally claimed they have sought help from all corners, including two different police stations in the area where all their visits have ended up in vain.
“Hi, Cyprian,
These are officers from Githurai 45 robbing a shop next to Naivas on May 8, 2022.
We have tried to seek help from OCS Mwiki and Githurai Police Station, but no help has come forth.
Police officers entered someone’s shop after they found the owner wasn’t there.
They took off with all the items and he never returned,” the source writes.
Below is the video as received from the source who opted to stay anonymous.
