Three years after this blog exposed Muthaiga-based marketing agency ‘Treasure Communications’ for failing to honour wages, it appears like the rogue firm is still engaged in shoddy games with its employees who have grown tired of the never-ending cycle of suffering.
Rogue Marketing Agency Treasure Communications Accused of Non-Payment Of Staff
This time around, a group of female agents who recently worked on a wheat and maize flour promotion project are crying out after the company blatantly breached the terms of their agreed two-month contract.
One of the victims sadly informed this author that despite the “Unga Wa Ajab” assignment being commission-based, Treasure Communications is yet to wire a single cent, more than 60 days down the line.
To make matters worse, all their efforts to reach the Managing Director (MD) Mr Francis Mworia have proven futile.
“Hi Nyakundi, I hope you see this message.
I work in the field of sales and marketing.
There is this agency called Treasure Communications.
It was given a project by Grain Industries commonly known as Unga wa Ajab.
It introduced the new flour called Lotus, we started the project in March on a commission basis and it ends in May.
No single cent from them or communication.
Not even credit or fare.
We are really suffering,
The company says it has paid them but they are not releasing the money,” the source writes.
In 2019, the agency was caught up in a similar fiasco after its workforce went for months without pay despite its client – Kenya Breweries Limited – having wired the full reimbursement for the job.
