CAPTION: The Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC MD George Kubai
A day after this blog exclusively highlighted increasing discrimination, tribalism, lack of staff motivation and work terrorism at the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC), more staffers have come forward to send out a signal of distress over the worrying state of affairs at the poorly run government development finance institution.
Why Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) will collapse soon
Speaking to us on Wednesday, May 25, more affected jobholders disclosed that apart from blatantly perpetuating endemic corruption, rogue Managing Director (MD) George Kubai has also been mercilessly milking the corporation through meticulously devised tactics that have left its coffers dry.
According to a trusted insider privy to the sensitive matter, Mr Kubai has been siphoning money from AFC by unlawfully awarding himself staff loan allocations running to millions of shillings under the blessings of Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya.

CAPTION: Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya has been accused of using Kubai as a proxy to destabilize and collapse AFC
The vice reportedly began as soon as Mr Kubai took office in 2021 and was irregularly diverted over Sh14 million into his personal bank accounts, devoid of all laid down codes and guidelines.
Recently, the unprincipled MD took his greed to a whole new level when he shockingly drained another Sh30 million from AFC’s coffers at the expense of hundreds of workers who are unable to access staff loans or house loans.
To make matters worse, Mr Kubai’s latest hit was so damaging that the corporation can no longer timely honour salaries for employees who are now pleading with the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other relevant authorities to quickly move in and salvage the situation before things get completely out of hand.
Some quarters of the workforce have also raised concerns over increasing fears of their job security thanks to constant threats and intimidation from Mr Kubai and his loyal minions.
The disgraced minions include Bonano, Mungai, Onsongo, Akeno and some other guy only referred to as ”The boy from Communications”.
Anyone suspected of being against the havoc-wreaking cabal is immediately labelled as a rebel and flimsy charges are instigated against them.
Apparently, Mr Kubai has grown so desperate of eliminating rebels that he has planted spies at every corner of the finance institution.
He is also notorious for tapping mobile phone calls as well as the official electronic mail system at their offices.
The Human Resource department has also been fingered by many staffers lacking leadership and direction.
Mr Kubai, who is said to be well- favoured by Mr Munya, has also operated from November last year without a board of directors.
