A storm is brewing at Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) Schools where a section of the workforce is up in arms over purported mistreatment by the current administration.
After many years of oppression, the unhappy staff members at CITAM Athi River – which is a private institution that runs under the church’s patronage – have finally gathered the courage to voice their concerns after drawing inspiration from a recent outburst by a colleague in the logistics department.
During the incident that shook the entire CITAM religious community last week, an infuriated driver came forward to vigorously protest unbearable working conditions perpetrated by the school’s rogue principal.
Through a long string of monologues published on his WhatsApp Status, the victim gave a written account of the painful daily ordeals he has to bear in order to sustain his poorly-paying job.
This includes working long shifts from Monday to Friday and random overtime duties during weekends that barely come with any form of compensation.
To make matters worse, the frequent unofficial trips by the principal are often for unimportant reasons like chauffering junior staff on minor errands.
This toxic culture extends further into the school’s offices and boardrooms where micromanagement of employees is the order of the day.
This goes as far as monitoring usage of the staff room’s water dispenser by strategically placing it near the door.
Moles are planted everywhere to spy on teachers.
Anyone that tries to question anything is quickly told off and reminded that orders from the “head office” must be always promptly executed without opposition.
These shocking levels of immaturity have sparked a quiet but rebellious movement within the workforce that is now said to be discreetly working against the management as revenge for the many long years of oppression.
“Hi, Nyakundi,
Some hot news about Citam Athi River.
Just how the school administration is treating staff.
You will definitely feel the pain of the staff.
School draining parents, and using staff for the donkey work.
Please do.
This will expose pretenders,” the source wrote, attaching the screenshots captured below.
