Toyota Kenya Management: The team is led by the Managing Director and is made up of General Managers responsible for different divisions

A week after we highlighted the story of a section of female employees that exposed the Chief Sales Officer at Automark (formerly Toyotsu Auto Mart Kenya) Mr Kohei Isibashi as a bully, more victims of gross mistreatment at Toyota Kenya continue to come forward.

Speaking to cnyakundi.com in anonymity, a former employee revealed to us that the culture of tribalism and nepotism is deeply entrenched in the company and is perpetrated by Senior Kenyan managers accused of blatantly frustrating women staff members who are not from their tribe.

Adrian Stelzer, the Human Resource Manager is also reported to be part of the toxic cabal stressing employees into depression.

ADRIAN STELZER: General Manager Human Resource and General Affairs at Toyota Kenya

He openly favours the crafty ones and loves to aimlessly reshuffle and transfer the rest of the employees just to please his bosses.

“Good morning Nyakundi.

Just saw your post about Toyota Kenya.

I am also a victim and it’s not only Kohei Ishibashi.

There is nepotism and tribalism of the highest order from senior Kenyan managers.

I worked under a lot of stress, frustration till I quit and HR is aware because I complained during my exit.

HR favours those crafty managers.

They will transfer you anywhere just to favour the senior managers at your expense.

Mimi nilisema God will teach them a lesson one day.

Branch and General managers are all Kenyan.

They will frustrate women especially if you are not their tribe.

And you are old skool and you don’t entertain nonsense.

I want to remain anonymous,” our source writes.

In our earlier article published on Wednesday, 23rd March 2022, Automark Chief Sales Officer Kohei Ishibashi was accused of among other things; holding female staff members hostage at his house.

Kohei Ishibashi of Automark, formerly Toyotsu Auto Mart Kenya: Despite only joining in April 2021, he is already one of the most disliked officials at the company

An insider disclosed unknown reasons, Mr Isibashi has been asking the employees – some of them directly contracted by Toyota Kenya- to report to his dirty apartment in Lavington as opposed to Automark’s designated offices along Popo Road, in South C.

The situation has become so bad that one of them is said to have recently absconded her roles in search of greener pastures elsewhere.

Despite the good pay, she simply couldn’t take it anymore.

Going by this latest submission shared above, it is certainly clear that all is not well at Toyota Kenya.

We urge more employees at the company to fearlessly come out and unearth deeper details of what is happening at their workplace.

This, we hope, will help trigger action from relevant authorities who are rumoured to be already pocketed by the suspects.

Their mouths are too full to speak, but ours are not.

We shall be keenly following this developing story with a view to publishing subsequent updates on how things pan out at the company.
