The Safaricom Investment Cooperative has hired the Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers to investigate information leakage and silence dissent, the editor of this site can confirm.
According to reports, they are suspecting their legal manager who they fired early last year.
This happens as The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) remains mum even as members flood social media platforms to complain about being conned by the Safaricom Investment corporation.
The editor of this site can confirm that the alleged “Investigations” are not being carried by the Sacco Societies Fraud Investigation Unit (SSFIU) but by a few DCI officers who are always available to do side hustles.
On Nov 22 2021, The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to formalize the establishment of the Sacco Societies Fraud Investigation Unit (SSFIU).
Speaking during the MOU signing ceremony, SASRA Chairman John Munuve said the establishment and operationalization of the Fraud Investigations Unit will complete the cog of the supervisory framework of SACCOs in Kenya, which was initially largely reliant on prudential supervision.’
‘’ We view this MOU as an important and serious commitment to work closely with DCI in transforming the SACCO subsector,” Munuwe said.
Munuve disclosed that the SSFIU is and will remain critical in complementing the prudential supervision conventionally undertaken by SASRA’s technical staff, by taking-up identified cases of fraudulent conduct during prudential supervision and investigating the same.
But reports we are getting indicate that the whole Sassra management is in the pockets of the Safaricom Investment Cooperative criminals who give them bribes in order for them not to investigate the scams like the Tinga plots scam.
The Tinga plots scam was huge but nothing has ever been done as the management is busy looting and infighting revealing why Sarah Wahogo has been in an acting capacity. She is the most corrupt woman at the Safaricom investment corporation and is behind the recent developments with DCI.
The corrupt Safaricom investment Sacco is chaired by Peter Gichangi his deputy being Tom Macakiage and Vicent Opiyo is the treasurer. The other little known board members are Jackson Mulwa, Emily Kilongi, Edward Njoroge, Mike Akal, Agnes Marete and Rebecca Bisanju.
As exposed in our past articles, clients who invested in Tinga plots are yet to get their title and you can see their outcry on social media yet Sassra and others cant talk because they are busy eating
Many clients who were duped were blocked by the company and up to now, have never received their refunds.
