Exiled firebrand lawyer and self-proclaimed revolutionist Dr Miguna Miguna has once again claimed that he fears for his life.

Miguna, who is set to return to the country later this month, shocked his followers om Sunday, 7 November 2021, when he announced through social media that a suspicious car has been hovering near his home in Ontario, Canada.

He claims that the dark-grey Honda SUV has been monitoring him over the past 14 days.

In his post, the outspoken former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant added that if anything were to happen to him, the blame should fall on his former employer, ODM party leader Raila Odinga and his handshake brother President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I don’t fear them.
I don’t fear death.
I’m still coming home,” he wrote in his first tweet.

In a follow-up post, Miguna compared his current tribulations to the days leading up to the late Dr Robert Ouko’s, Pio Gama Pinto and Tom Mboya’s political assassinations during Daniel Moi’s treacherous regime.

He also added that had Pio Gama Pinto, Tom Mboya and JM Kariuki spoken out against deliberate plots to kill them, they would not have met such untimely deaths.

“They did not expose those plots, I’ll expose all the plots to kill me,” he finished off.

Miguna, who officiated the symbolic inauguration of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the people’s president in January 2018, was subsequently charged with treason and deported to Canada on February 6.

Former Chief Justice (CJ) Willy Mutunga announced last week that he will embark on a journey to Canada on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in a quest to bring the controversial politician lawyer Miguna Miguna back to Kenya.

In 2018, the immigration department destroyed his passport, as the government stated that Miguna ceased to be a Kenyan citizen when he was granted Canadian citizenship.

Mutunga accused the government of abusing Miguna’s rights and disregarding several court orders directing it to facilitate the lawyer’s return to the country.
