CAPTION: Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has broken his silence over his latest fake papers fiasco that has dominated headlines.

This is after allegations emerged on Wednesday, 27 October 2021, that Sudi forged some of his academic certificates while seeking clearance from the IEBC and the EACC to contest in the 2013 General Election.

Through his official Facebook page, Sudi took on Kenyan media houses and condemned them for purportedly subjecting him to the harsh court of public opinion before the conclusion of his case before the jury.

He further urged his supporters, as well as detractors to exercise patience as the judicial process takes its course.

The loyal foot-soldier of Deputy President William Ruto is set to take to the stand to defend himself against the evidence presented in court over the fake documents.

Earlier in the day, a former head of examination at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), testified that Sudi’s Diploma in Business Management certificate purportedly issued by the institution in September 2008 was a forgery and non-existent.

Speaking in court, the witness, the serial number of the certificate presented by Sudi belonged to Elkana Kimutai while the admission number on the certificate belongs to Scholastica Achieng Odhiambo.

Reports indicated that the certificate that Sudi holds was awarded to him in 2005, a year before he officially received his KCSE certificate.

On Tuesday, October 26, Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Principal Examinations Secretary, Nabiki Kashu, told a Nairobi magistrate that Sudi did not register or sit for the KCSE exams in 2006 at Highway Secondary School as he alludes in his records.

She added that his certificate was registered to Parklands Secondary School.

Nabiki, who is the head of records and archives at KNEC, revealed to the court that Sudi’s records do not appear in either Highway or Parklands Secondary Schools.
