A wave of anxiety has hit Eastleigh neighbourhood in Nairobi after a bomb scare was reported at Yare Towers located near the Eastleigh Shopping Centre.
The area was cordoned off on Thursday afternoon as troops of police and army officers flooded the scene.
According to eyewitnesses on the ground, tenants were immediately evacuated from the building after someone reportedly delivered a letter warning the occupants to leave the building.
Members of the public have been advised to stay away from the area as specialists from the Bomb Disposal Police Unit continue to conduct a search.
