Caption: Kenya Pipeline Company Limited chairman John Ngumi, the crook overseeing looting and plundering of the state corporation’s coffers.
The Chairman of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) John Ngumi has violated the Constitution by suspending from duty all internal Auditors and Security Chief Investigator who carried out an investigation into the fraudulent loss of Billions of Shillings on allegations that they supplied information to Cyprian Nyakundi, who zeroed-in on the industrial heist going on at KPC. Public money was lost and he purports that there is confidentiality on corruption.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) are already at KPC investigating the said case but isn’t this impunity that should be exposed? How can a man carrying himself with some level of courage suspend from duty internal auditors simply because he thinks they exposed corruption running into Billions of Shillings?
And as Deputy President William Ruto and the Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter prepare for elections, the looting and primitive-acquisition at Kenya Pipeline continues. Let Ngumi clarify these urgent issues to avoid the continued loss of tax payers money.
1. Why did KPC engage a consultant three weeks ago at an unreasonable price of Ksh 197 Million to provide consultancy on security aspects? Was this amount necessary? How is this justified? Kshs. 197 Million for someone to run around 34 KPC installations? Even Mutahi Ngunyi was a more sophisticated thief during his tenure as NYS wheeler-dealer.
2. Why did KPC award a tender for Kshs. 900 Million for a company to install security features and systems even before this bogus Kshs. 197 Million consultant has delivered recommendations and his report? What entails this Kshs. 900 Million? This is mega fraud simply because Charles Keter is resigning by August and start campaigning for Bomet Gubernatorial elections. So the rush to loot is simply for the sake of political expediency.
These thieves will bring this country to its knees and KPC is the cash cow of the current government where Billions have been looted and staff have been gagged not to give any information. Suspending internal auditors is impunity never witnessed ever before so that looters can do their business.
The current KPC Board and entire management should be sent packing and rot in jail. Current audit manager Felix Rerimoi is the man covering all the looting and exposing junior staff who have exposed the mega corruptions.
We now ask the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to move in swiftly and arrest Felix Ririmoi, together with the Managing Director Joe Sang and Chairman John Ngumi.
Ndegwa Muhoro and Halakhe Waqo, please don’t use this post as an opportunity to extort bribes from the board and senior management of Kenya Pipeline Company. Arrest these thieves without fail!
We hereby attach the internal memo that was circulated to staff, after this website first leaked details of industrial-scale heists going on at KPC. The good thing is that the company didn’t deny the existence of such fraudulent tenders. They just wanted to spread fear so that staff cannot whistle-blow.
My name is Cyprian Nyakundi and I welcome all whistle-blowers to send me information of grand-corruption in your companies. Don’t be like the misguided folks who gave Standard Newspaper a leak of the Kenya Airways Audit, which only ran for a day and was quickly forgotten after Joseph Odindo was bribed by Mbuvi Ngunze.
Shame on you Joseph Odindo! You think being bribed by Mbuvi Ngunze to kill stories on the Kenya Airways Audit will stop the airline from collapsing and thousands to lose their jobs? You idiot!
