Caption : Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore. The biggest crook and most corrupt man as per now.
Barely polished in this blogging game, and largely painted in negative light by competitors in the industry, I had once written about the plight of Safaricom’s staffers who had been laid off on medical grounds. Back then, nobody would dare confront Safaricom or even speak ill of Bob Collymore due to the grip he had on the mainstream and alternative media.
But through consistency, and collaboration with like-minded activists, we have come to expose him as a fraudster who together with his senior managers, run this PUBLIC company like personal property.
They come on television, announce a whopping Kshs. 38 Billion and rural-bred Kenyans largely cheer them, yet that’s proceeds of anti-competitive behaviour and exorbitant pricing of Safaricom services like Data and MPESA transactions. The Kenyans who cheered Safaricom’s astronomical profits would also be the same intellectual-dwarfs that bought Uhuru’s theatrics of mingling with peasants for cheap publicity. Gullible products of the flawed 8-4-4 system.
To add insult to injury, Safaricom only sponsors a few events like Athletics for a paltry Kshs. 80 Million, Jazz where a recent small donation of Kshs. 7 Million to Ghetto Classics was turned into a huge marketing fiasco, plus an occasional Jazz concert because Bob Collymore personally like Jazz music since he hails from British Guyana, where Jazz is common among those slavery descendants.
But who the hell wants to listen to bloody Jazz other than Bob Collymore or his bootlickers? We want to watch Jay-Z at Nyayo Stadium. We want to watch Real Madrid or Barcelona playing in Nairobi. We want Safaricom to be the sponsor of the Kenya Premier League for Kshs. 1 Billion per year, so that the money can be spread evenly to benefit the footballers and grow other industries.
Groove Awards is a celebration of mediocrity, that elevates content-less musicians who largely form a cartel together with Mo Sound Entertainment, artistes who cannot deliver riveting performances or compose sensible lyrics. Basic street-bitches like Size 8 whose wig shows just how hopelessly pathetic she is.
We don’t want a whopping Kshs. 2. 1 Billion per year given to Bharat Thakrar so that he can split his proceeds with a corrupt Bob Collymore. This corporate malaise in Nairobi, justified by a misguided set of bribed Business journalists like Terryanne Chebet, Wallace Kantai, former anchor and Cynthia Nyamai who was once Ferdinand Waititu’s side-chic, etc., must come to an end.
Acoustic shock disorder (ASD) is an involuntary response to a sound perceived as traumatic (usually a sudden, unexpected loud sound heard near the ear), which causes a specific and consistent pattern of neurophysiological and psychological symptoms. These include aural pain/fullness, tinnitus, hyperacusis, muffled hearing, vertigo and other unusual symptoms such as numbness or burning sensations around the ear. Typically, people describe acoustic shock as feeling like they have been stabbed or electrocuted in the ear. If symptoms persist, a range of emotional reactions including post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression can develop.
We wrote about the plight of our brothers and sisters who used to work for Safaricom and after falling ill due to work related illness, they were illegally laid off. Those laid-off were Safaricom call center employees along Mombasa road. They were illegally sacked after they developed a condition known as Acoustic Shock Syndrome. This is a very serious condition which is usually an involuntarily response to sound perceived as traumatic (mostly loud uneven sound near the ear).
The condition came about from Safaricom procuring sub-standard headphones for call-center employee’s and thankfully, the former staffers took Safaricom to court. This year, Safaricom under pressure from parent company Vodafone, was compelled to settle these cases out of court, and each of the workers was supposed to be paid Kshs. 1.5 Million as compensation for wrongful dismissal.
Out of all settlements, three have not been completed triggering fears and suspicion of foul-play among Safaricom ranks, and their coruupt law firms.
Like Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero who recently bribed a High Court Judge Justice Joseph Onguto so as to obtain orders barring EACC from probing his and his wife’s personal bank accounts, Safaricom were also bribing the Employment and Industrial Relations Court to stall the case.
So out of 16 cases, Safaricom has not settled 3, something that we are sure Vodafone or the local shareholders, aren’t aware of.
The last few weeks have been amazing to say the least. Seeing Bob Collymore’s grip on the mainstream media being challenged was quite a hallmark. And out exposè on the KPMG audit was too deadly. Because of our impeccable work, we helped Safaricom unleash it’s budget to fight back, by paying journalists and select bloggers for positive coverage.
Instead of those simpletons fighting me or soiling my name, they should realise that I create opportunities for them to eat from Safaricom and other institutions that dispense budgets to clean up their images after a Cyprian Nyakundi exposè. Without me, baby-bloggers like @Moseaux wouldn’t have been paid a measly Kshs. 100K to start a hashtag campaign.
Those who “fight” me on behalf of corporates or Government should realise that they need me more. I create the opportunity for their relevance.
We hereby attach some letters from the settlement suit and request Safaricom to pay the remaining 3. As for KPMG, we have taken a tactical- retreat and will resume with a bang soon when nobody least expects it.
