The funeral ceremony for the Embakasi butcher who was felled by an Administration Police bullet in cold blood, in Kitindo, Embakasi is currently underway.
Charles Maina Karugu was barelt three weeks old in Nairobi, having started and practiced his butcher business in Kariguine market in Laikipia. He had just upgraded in Nairobi and was looking forward to making it in the city.
The 52 years old (not 32 yrs as reported) Charles, was shot by an Administration Police officer Titus Kipchirchir Kirui who had a fight over a woman with a Kenya Defence Force (KDF) officer.
According to sources, information gathered by area MP, who is after the case is that Titus Kipchirchir Kirui could be a son of a senior officer at Central police who intimated nothing will happen to him.
Mr Karugu’s burial is currently happening at his humble home in Kariguine village, off Nairutia in Laikipia.
