Mumias West MP Benjamin Washiali’s daughter was on Tuesday presented with sex trafficking charges in Nairobi.
The lady whom a local daily identified as Faith Bwibo appeared before Kibera senior principal magistrate Esther Boke where the prosecution stated that Bwibo committed the offence on the 20th of March in Mugoya Estate within South C.
She was accused of “unlawfully and knowingly” transporting a woman for the purpose of sexual exploitation by means of deception.
Faith, who appeared in court alongside her counterpart Abdirizak Adan Abdul, denied the charges.
Rape
On his charge sheets, Abdirizak is accused of having raped the said lady within the same area on the same day.
On the other, he is said to have committing an indecent act by touching the complainant’s breasts.
Additionally, the accused is said to have damaged the complainant’s mobile phone – an iPhone 8 valued at Sh40,000.
Police Report
According to the police report, on the 20th of March 2021, the complainant received a call from her friend Faith Bwibo who invited her together with other friends at around 4pm.
A few minutes after getting ready they ordered an Uber which was to come and pick them up but the complainant (Faith’s friend) told her pals to go ahead of her because she needed to seek permission from her father.

She later joined up with them and they all proceeded to Carnivore grounds.
At Carnivore grounds, Faith is said said to have requested the complainant and another third friend to accompany her somewhere where she wanted to see someone.
Faith (the accused) then identified a car and when they all approached it they found the second accused person, Abdirizak Adan Abdul and the complainant (Faith’s friend) remembered how she had occasionally heard the accused person speaking to him occasionally.
They then proceeded to a house in South C where Abdi is accused of having sexually taken advantage of her.
The victim then went to Coptic Hospital where she reported the matter.
Dangerous Man
Both Faith Bwibo and Abdirizak Adan Abdul denied the charges before a Kibera court through their lawyer.
However, his request that they be released on lenient bond terms was strongly contested by the victim’s lawyer citing that Abdirizak Adan Abdul is a dangerous man to the society.
“The first accused person is dangerous to the society, I pray that this court balances the right of the victim and the right of the accused person,” she told the magistrate, as quoted by The Star.
The magistrate directed that the matter be mentioned on April 9 for a ruling on the bail applications.
