Standing In Solidarity With Tassia Residents

yyyyy

Every once in a while, we will randomly select a cause that affects ordinary Kenyans, but given a blackout by mainstream media.

We had ran a story about police brutality in South B where a lady had been killed by Administration Police in Marigu-ini Chiefs Camp, a report that triggered violent protests.

Today we stand in solidarity with Tassia Residents who plan to hold a peaceful demonstration, decrying the pathetic state of roads in their area-code.

The spirit of protest, defiance and mass-action should be alive especially in middle-class citizens, who have for long been duped by mainstream media that they live comfortable lives.

Our roads are horrible, we don’t have underground subway systems, adequate security, and other amenities because all the money is embezzled by your elected leaders.

Nairobi residents stupidly elected Evans Kidero who brought down Mumias Sugar Company and miraculously expected him to deliver, simply because he is smartly dressed and has a good command of English.

Until the day you stop reasoning like fools and voting individuals of questionable backgrounds based on superficial qualities, these will be the recurring challenges in your hopeless lives.

We are given fake statistics that Kibera has 3 Million residents, but the truth is that there are no more than 200,000 people residing in that slum. Meaning the middle-classers have more numbers, yet you allow matatu operators, bodaboda wankers and mama mboga’s determine your destiny.

Simply because the lower class creates buzz for certain individuals like Mike Sonko, the middle-class is herded like sheep towards a political objective, using the bribed mainstream media journalists.

Middle-class Kenyans need to realise that they bear the brunt of any structural challenges in Kenya, as slum-dwellers are comfortable living on less than a dollar a day.

It’s up to you middle-class Kenyans to style up and move away from the 8-4-4 mindset that specifically hinders your reasoning and thinking.

Generate the spirit of protest in yourselves. Don’t leave it to slum-dwellers like Manono. He’s comfortable living in a shack, and that the reason why he can take a 500 handout from Kidero to vote for him.
