Six days ago (8th Jan 2021), the govt of Kenya through the Ministry of Health (MoH) issued a directive that all international travelers must have digital verification of Covid-19 certificates at border points from monday (11th Jan 2021)
A week later, Cnyakundi.com has learnt that hackers have taken custody of the Ministry of Health (MoH) system that holds the data for people who have been tested for Covid-19.
“The systems for covid 19 verification that the ministry of heath put in place from 8 hacked. Data for travellers which include passport numbers, names, id numbers etc are in the custodian of hackers”, wrote an anonymous source.
The ministry this evening (Tuesday), authorized labs to swich to old means.
Fake Covid-19 results
This means that labs that issue fake Covid-19 results at Sh500 to Sh1000 like Coptic Hospitals are expected back to their business after being locked out by the new system which was hucked on Tuesday.
“I received fake result at Sh1000 from Coptic, I was going to Rwanda. The document is in the computer. They just fill details like name, age, gender then print. It takes less than 5 minutes”, the source stated sharing the below image.
