This week, a Kenyan YouTube video from December last year re-emerged and went viral across social media platforms.
In the clip that was filmed in somewhere in Westlands on the eve of 2020 Madaraka Day celebrations, a middle-class couple is caught on camera washing their dirty linen in the glaring eyes of the public.
Bringing their entire estate into a standstill, the young man and the woman, presumably in their 30s, are engaged in a heated quarrel that ultimately turns into a full-blown physical brawl which not only drew the attention of neighbours and passersby but also left both their vehicles with dented bumpers and broken mirrors.
At multiple intervals, the security guards with the help of a few concerned neighbours try to break up the fight but the provocative lady keeps coming back and hurling both unprintables and literal rocks at the man she keeps calling out loud as “Ken”.
Although the reason behind their altercation remains unknown, from watching the 10-minute clip, quite a number of things become clear.
One is like life has always had it, if a woman attacks a man it’s almost certainly a lose-lose situation for him.
If he doesn’t fight back, she will beat him. If he does fight back, he will be accused of being a woman beater and her initial attack is immediately forgotten.
Given that self-defence laws dictate that you use a proportional amount of force to stop the attack, a man’s immediate defensive skills are most commonly strikes, parries and blocks.
Too little can get you hurt or killed in some cases and much will get you thrown in jail.
So what then, must a man in such a scenario do? Where does the balance lay?
The only perfect answer to this question is to make sure you never find yourself so deep into such a pitfall in the first place.
Ken’s biggest mistake was ignoring all the red flags that eventually landed him to that fateful day.
You see, when you have just started dating, it is easy to wrongly assume that your relationship will be nothing but pure bliss.
Even when there are some obvious faults in a woman, many men tend to ignore them with the silly argument that even the most beautiful girls in the world “have their own faults”.
In all honesty, it can be hard to know whether the erratic behaviour of your girlfriend is a case of psycho.
This is why it is important to understand the tell-tale signs of a psycho girlfriend.
When I talk of a psycho girlfriend, I am talking about someone who is extremely needy, clingy and unstable, like the woman in the video above.
When you have such a girlfriend, you can rest assured that you will definitely have a very difficult life ahead.
Because let’s face it, how can it possibly be any fun to be involved with someone who isn’t predictable and makes you spend every second worried about what crazy thing they could do next?
Depending on where a person was brought up, their parents and even friends, it is possible to tell a lot about a person.
How the person as raised and the people she socializes with can give you some mighty clues on whether you are dating a psycho girlfriend.
For instance, if you find that her parents were drunkards who fought a lot, this could be a tell-tale sign.
If she was sexually molested by her dad, this could also be another sign. This is because in most cases, there is a depressing story behind every psycho girlfriend.
After your first meeting with your psycho girlfriend, things will move quite fast. She will tell you that she feels you are the right person for her. She finds you perfect. She will mirror your dreams, hopes and insecurities.
This causes you to put all your trust in her. You get excited over your new-found catch.
She will constantly get in touch with you and she will be fascinated with you at all levels.
However, this will only be for a short period before her true colours start to manifest.
A psycho girlfriend will drain all your energy and consume your entire life. They have a demand for adoration that cannot be easily satisfied.
Nobody can be in a position to fill the void in the soul of a psychopath.
If you are in that kind of relationship, kindly save yourself future emotional abuse and dump that b*ch!
You will start gaining your sanity and the constant chaos will be a thing of the past.
You will also realize that this great opportunity will set you on a journey to self-discovery where you will also be able to set healthy boundaries that you will operate within for the rest of your life.
