Gov Samuel Tunai at a tourism forum

As the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji moves to revive charges against those mentioned in past corruption scandals, one land stands untouched.

Narok County government is one of the lands where the Ngirita family is put to shame. The looting and carting away of public funds is alarming.

Following the arrests of Maasai Mara VC Prof Mary Walingo, Migori Governor Okoth Obado, and now the revival of the Kenya Ports Authority cases; Cnyakundi.com received below complaint titled, ‘The Biggest Cartels In Narok After Maasai Mara University Heist’

THE BIGGEST CARTELS IN NAROK AFTER MAASAI MARA UNIVERSITY HEIST

For last five years, the issue of water shortages in Narok town was almost becoming a forgotten case. Narok county government through Narok water and sewerage company and JICA had  done the unbelievable by connecting piped water in all the estates including some villages like ebobon’g and majengo that had never dreamt of ever seeing a water tap in their land. Water bowsers, tuktuk water suppliers and donkey carts had finally made their way out of Narok roads and that is where the whole problem started. A cartel comprising of:

  1. Top county officials
  2. Narok water and sewerage company officials
  3. Water bowser owners (many of whom are county government staffs)
  4. Water tanks sellers

Sat down and made a deal where it is suspect that some huge amounts of money must have exchanged hands. Carefully water have been disconnected in many parts of the town save for specific areas where the WHO is WHO recides. Shamefully as in may be, imagine your next plot neighbour from the big fish community can be having constant water supply while as no drop in your tap for months. Now the biggest business in Narok town  is selling water tanks and rain water harvesting materials because people have lost hope and are now learning to live the desperate  life ya kujipanga.

But where do water bowsers get their water that they sell for 24 hours? But would you be surprised when 90% of the bowsers are owned by county government staffs. If there’s a broken machine as it is being purported, why is it that some areas still receiving water frequently? How comes some people in the same area are receiving water while as some within the same vicinity do not? Why is the machine not being fixed for months? Of course it’s a CARTEL.
