Lydia Ireri and her child outside the TSC headquarters to protest the revoke of her TSC number.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as in any other government agency is corrupt to the core.

Today, morning, a teacher that was hired camped at the gates of the headquarters to protest being shortchanged.

Lydia Ireri visited the TSC headquarters with her baby in tow. She is a trained teacher from University of Nairobi (UoN) that graduated in 2015 with a second class upper.

Her TSC number is729765. She said she did an interview in 2017 and luckily, she excelled.

A few years ago some teacher wrote of operations at TSC: “There is no structure or policy. it is an open cheque for cartels at TSC led by Nancy Macharia and Lydia nzomo to appoint their relatives, and transfer those uncooperating teachers to far flung regions and reward their cronies with top appointments in choice schools. If teachers in Kenya do NOT rise up and fight tribalism and corruption at TSC, we are done. Let us STRIKE TO REMOVE CORRUPTION AT TSC.”

However, the corrupt forces at the TSC headquarters could not let her.

She was supposed to receive her letter on 27th February, 2020, but the opportunity was grabbed by ‘someone with money’.

Someone is earning money under her name.

This is the plight of just one of such.

Do you know any other cases?
