High Voltage reports reaching Cyprian Nyakundi’s newsdesk indicate that former Deputy Chief Justice and Vice President of the Supreme Court of Kenya Nancy Baraza has declined an offer for “coffee” as a sign of truce from Classic 105FM radio DJ Maina Kageni.

Reports indicate that Ms. Baraza’s conscience cannot allow her to interact with a malicious character whose reckless mouth distorted public discourse on the fateful events surrounding her resignation from the judiciary. She suspects that he may want to take a photograph (selfie) and use it to solicit cheap publicity, whilst making himself feel better at her expense.

Maina Kageni has of late come under scrutiny for hosting a toxic morning show together with comedian Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki, and encouraging debate on matters that threaten the fabric of society, compromise morals jeopardize homes and wreck families.

Reports indicate that Maina Kageni is now banking on Caroline Mutoko to intervene and broker the meeting, using Ms. Baraza’s son Bien-Aime Baraza, a band member of African music sensations Sauti Sol, as she has cultivated a rapport with the band and recently sponsored some lucky Kenyans with free tickets to their “Live and Die in Afrika” album-launch concert.

Maina Kageni is said to be desperate for that meeting, as the matter has tarnished the image of his employer Patrick Quarcoo, who has come under increasing pressure to recall Maina from the morning show and redeploy him elsewhere.

“Holding onto Maina Kageni is becoming untenable” a source close to Quarcoo was quoted as saying.
