There is pressure on the East Africa Chamber of Commerce to fire Alex Karundu after a scandal where he sent nudes to an underage girl.
The East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA) is an organization which was established and owned by the three national chambers, namely, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) and Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA).
Its main objective is to lobby the regional governments for the creation of a conducive business environment for cross border trade and investment within the context of the East African Customs Union and Common Market Protocol.
Alex Karundu serves as a board member at the EACCIA and is now under pressure to resign over integrity questions.

Through a popular Telegram group, the girl’s guardian informed netizens that a sexual harassment complaint against the American-based businessman had been filed with local authorities and his imminent arrest is expected “any day he lands in Kenya.”
