A clip of Mumias East Member of Parliament Benjamin Washiali physically assaulting a middle-aged man has emerged on social media.
In the video posted by a Twitter user on Sunday evening, the Ruto-allied legislator is seen punching, kicking and slapping the man with the help of a bunch of other guys; presumably his aides.
cnyakundi.com cannot immediately verify what caused the altercation but we strongly condemn this and such other acts of violence, more so from honourable members of the August House.
We call upon relevant authorities to swiftly move in and ensure justice is served.
