MoSound Events management company was adversely mentioned in the KPMG audit report that fingered their MD Kevin Mulei for aiding in the looting of Telco giant Safaricom.
Have the wells of looting run dry at Safaricom or is it a case of mismanagement?
Either way, corruption doesn’t pay. (uhalifu hailipi chochote)
Here below an insider reveals details of a falling-from-grace-company.
Hi Nyakundi,
Told you there is something cooking at MoSound and NRG radio. Most of the staff have not been paid for the last few months, almost the entire senior management has left and there is a major debt issue. All we are asking for is our dues and pension to be paid.
Insider: Will I be anonymous?
Cyprian Nyakundi: Yes.
OK.
There is a girl here called Beverlene Wangari. She is the root of all evil, she is the reason many people have left.
Look for some of the senior people who have left, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), lead events person, the lead commercial officer etc.
Cyprian Nyakundi: Who are the people that have left?
Some people who have left are;
Kavutha Mwanzia – MD MoSound Events, Charles Chege – CFO, Wallace Waiguru – head of design, Steve Kimani – commercial lead, Carol Muito – group commercial lead, David Kingatua – lead events coordinator, David Kuria – groove awards lead, Kester Shimonyo – NRG radio, Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe – NRG radio, Duncan Msicha – lead producer NRG radio.
Those are top people who resigned and left. So many more have left and more are planning to leave.
Suppliers keep calling for unpaid bills and there is talk of KRA issues.
What you see in the media is a lie, a cover up to hide deep issues where a few people have run down what was a good business.
Most of those of who left had built the company for many years and things only changed in the last two years.
It is said Beverlene has an affair with the boss and she cant be touched despite how much people try to talk to the boss. She actually is driving a brand new 5 series said to have been bought for her loyalty to boss.
You can do your research and see for yourself. many companies do not want to work with them anymore because the good people left and quality of work has gone really down with a demotivated team.
If you post, I am sure others will come up and give information.
More information
If you saw the star the other day (a few days ago), there is a supplier who sued MoSound for not paying them some money. There are many of them that have not been paid in a long time.
It is wrong to set the wrong image of success.
Kevin Mulei is the new lion on KCB Lions den and is “receiving awards” while people who work tirelessly for him have not been paid for the last 3 months.
Those who have dared speak have been laid off and are not sure when their dues inclusive of their pensions will be paid.
We did our investigations and found that for many years he had deducted pension monies for the staff and not remitted the money to the pension scheme. Now when people are laid off or when they leave they cannot access their hard-earned cash.
To make matters worse, Kevin is seen driving around state-of-the-art vehicles and living in leafy suburbs while his eployees are being shut out of their houses.
we shall give you more information as we move on.
